Does Simon Pegg believe in luck? In this exclusive interview for the Apple TV+ movie Luck, we ask and he answers.

    Simon Pegg Luck interview

Apple TV+’s Luck is a movie that is all about, well, you guessed it, Luck! There is good luck and bad luck, each one coming with an incredibly elaborate and visually stunning world. The wonderfully talented Simon Pegg voices a black cat named Bob, and during this interview with Mama’s Geeky we asked him if he personally believes in Luck.

Does Simon Pegg Believe In Luck?

So does Simon Pegg believe in luck? Sort of. He thinks that luck is something we all create for ourselves and we couldn’t agree more with him.

“I think the idea that something else is in control of our lives, and we don’t really have any responsibility for our actions, because they’re all ordained by something else — I don’t believe that. I believe that luck is what we make.” Simon explains.

He says that when opportunities come our way we either convert them into good luck or we let them go, and that is kind of bad luck. “So I do and I don’t really. I feel like it’s important for us to take responsibility for what we do, and not ascribe blame elsewhere. And at the same time, it’s quite a positive thing to suggest that you got to where you want to be not through some sort of mystical force moving around, but because you made the right choices, and you did the right thing.”

Pegg goes on to say that he believes that is partly what this film, Luck, teaches in a really sweet way that everyone can understand. “What you put into the world, the positivity you put into the world, can often come back at you in the form of what feels like good luck. But at the end of the day, it was you that did it.”
