In this article we rank every Chris Pratt action movie, from worst to best.

Chris Pratt is one loveable dude. He first captured our hearts playing sweet natured slacker Andy Dwyer in sitcom Parks and Recreation before shooting to super stardom in major franchises and joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) in 2014. Now, he’s ready to take on another batch of dinosaurs this week with Jurassic World: Dominion, so of course to prepare, revisiting his action-packed past is a necessary requirement.
Every Chris Pratt Action Movie, Ranked From Worst to Best

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018)
Middle chapters of a film series can be hard to get right; there usually tends to be a standard set by its predecessor that the sequel can either attempt to replicate or find a way to revitalize the material; Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom delivers a mix of the two, and it unfortunately doesn’t pay off.
Fallen Kingdom gets points for its attempt to remain creative, but with a long-standing franchise like Jurassic Park to contend with, originality is a rarity. It does, however, bring a lot of emotion and sentiment to the table – who else still wells up at the lone Brachiosaurus? The biggest achievement Fallen Kingdom manages to capture is how it sets up a promising storyline for the next and final instalment of the Jurassic World franchise.

The Tomorrow War (2021)
Pratt’s latest expedition into the world of action sees mankind threatened by an alien species as Pratt is drafted into the future to battle for humanity. The Tomorrow War adopts a hybrid of action meets sci-fi but hits too many hurdles to be considered anything other than ordinary.
Action-wise? It works; the fight scenes are captivating to watch unfold. Premise? It sounds a lot more fascinating than its actual execution. There aren’t any faults with Pratt’s performance at all. He’s entertaining as he puts up one hell of a fight. The Tomorrow War is fine for some casual viewing, but overall, isn’t exactly the most riveting movie.

Wanted (2008)
Wanted probably isn’t the first film you think of when you hear Pratt’s name, which is a fair assumption considering he has a very small role as the best friend and co-worker of James McAvoy’s Wesley.
The film follows Wesley, a bored office worker who discovers that he is the son of a skilled assassin, and he also shares his father’s abilities. Wanted is the definition of non-stop action; with dark humor weaved through the narrative, an adrenaline seeker will thoroughly enjoy this action-thriller.

Jurassic World (2015)
It’s hard to recapture the magic of a classic cinematic masterpiece like Jurassic Park, and yet, 2015’s Jurassic World does a mighty fine job at reinventing the series. This is the sequel the first film deserves; it kicks off the next generation strong while paying homage to the original, and has more than enough nostalgia to keep fans of Spielberg’s sci-fi flick entertained.
The great thing about Jurassic World is that it doesn’t try to copy what the first film so effectively conveys. It stands strong on its own two feet without so much as a push to get the gears in motion. This is one of Pratt’s earliest ventures into leading an action movie, and he does so effortlessly.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
The Guardians return with more music, jokes, action, and heartbreak, for their second film, but Star-Lord’s world is flipped upside down by the arrival of father Ego (Kurt Russell). Are we all in agreement that the greatest thing this movie ever done is introduce us to Baby Groot? If not, we really should be.
This is a sequel that lives up to the first without a doubt. The great thing about the Guardians movies is that they both work as standalones with no pressure to follow-up on the rest of the MCU – although, part of the fun is getting equally invested in every phase Kevin Feige has to offer. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 keeps its comedic value, but delivers on an emotional depth that isn’t quite explored in the first film.

Guardians of the Galaxy (2014)
Guardians of the Galaxy sees a huge, but welcomed, tonal shift in the MCU. The Infinity Saga is well underway by the time the Guardians join in on the action, but it quickly becomes impossible to imagine the MCU without them. Comedy comes easily to the film; from the get-go you find yourself unable to contain the joy and excitement at getting to explore otherwise uncharted territory for the MCU.
Pratt is perfect for Star-Lord; he plays into the goofy, light-hearted nature of the character in a way that only he could; he is a hero of the people, and the dynamic between Quill and his companions adds plenty of heart into the story. Plus, the soundtrack alone makes the film worth watching just to see Pratt sing and dance his heart out.

Avengers: Infinity War (2018)
The Infinity Saga introduces its widely anticipated climax with Infinity War, which sees 10 years of MCU content come together in what is considered to be cinema’s most ambitious crossover event. The Guardians are united with The Avengers for the first time in a moment that leaves fans reeling from a range of emotions.
Though the screen time in the film is divided, Pratt’s interactions with Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth are a huge highlight – yes, we can still be mad at Star-Lord’s actions, but we can’t deny how cool it is to see the bunch finally cross paths.

Avengers: Endgame (2019)
There’s no conclusion more fitting than the Russo Brothers’ end to the Infinity Saga. Endgame has it all; you’ll certainly be grabbing at the Kleenex throughout the entire duration. The focus weighs heavily on the original six, which works extremely well given the nature of the film.
This is the end of an era. The future of the MCU feels uncertain by the time the credits are rolling. As for Pratt, however, we’re given a brief glimpse into his next adventure as his and Hemsworth’s characters dive back into bantering with one another and tease what could potentially be a blossoming bromance for the ages.
