I related so hard to Turning Red. As a mom of girls & as a boy band fanatic. I get Mei, but I also get Ming. This a HEARTWARMING coming of age film about mothers & daughters, growing up, & embracing who you are — beautiful in many ways. The end moved me to tears. #TurningRed pic.twitter.com/IWl5gqiqcq

But there’s one surprise that had me jump out of my seat. Wont tell you what or when, but it’s such a clever metaphor. pic.twitter.com/wvP73OR3SH

I’ve seen #Pixar’s TURNING RED!
It’s the perfect blend of western animation & eastern anime influences. Director Domee Shih has such a clear vision that’s bright, fun & joyful. You can tell what a personal story it is for her.#TurningRed #DisneyPlus @PixarTurningRed pic.twitter.com/LzDXd5gUM7

I got to watch #TurningRed earlier today and am very pleased to report that it's definitely top tier @Pixar! Funny, charming, and beautifully animated, it's a spellbinding coming of age story…#Bao was fantastic, but director #DomeeShi outdoes herself here. @PixarTurningRed pic.twitter.com/UJQYWw7hPK

#TurningRed/ #PixarTurningRed is hilarious, heartfelt & unapologetically horny. A sentimental story about parental problems, puberty & pandas that’s endearingly oddball & off-kilter in the best way. Good world building & teen bops. Sandra Oh & newcomer Rosalie Chiang are splendid pic.twitter.com/JTpiSSrnm7

#TurningRed is inspired. A smart, sensitive allegory with heart. Beautifully crafted design brings the groundbreaking movie to life, and the cast revels in a nuanced script that is tight, funny, and insightful. The third act is *chef’s kiss*. We can all learn from Mei’s journey. pic.twitter.com/4zp42Gl3It

About Turning Red
Disney and Pixar’s “Turning Red” introduces Mei Lee (voice of Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother’s dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Her protective, if not slightly overbearing mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter—an unfortunate reality for the teenager.
And as if changes to her interests, relationships and body weren’t enough, whenever she gets too excited (which is practically ALWAYS), she “poofs” into a giant red panda! Directed by Academy Award® winner Domee Shi (Pixar short “Bao”) and produced by Lindsey Collins “Turning Red releases on March 11, 2022.
Turning Red comes exclusively to Disney+ on March 11th.
