My oldest daughter is about to turn 9 this month, and she is just like her mama! At her age I was reading mystery books and loving life. You could always find me with my nose in a book, or watching a movie, and that is her to a T. So when I asked her if she would like to watch a new mystery movie with me, she couldn’t say yes fast enough! We really bonded watching Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Case of the Air B & B Robbery together — and I wouldn’t change that for anything.
First of all I want to say that this movie really surprised me. I expected it to be fun, and for my daughter to enjoy it, but I didn’t expect to like it as much as I did. And I don’t mean that in a bad way, I mean that in an “I expected it to be for kids but adults can sort of watch it too” way. Honestly though, I was hooked from the start!
In Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Case of the Air B & B Robbery, Hidden Orchard is a neighborhood with a tight knit community. There are a lot of break-ins of air B&B’s and Gabby and Lulu team up to try to solve the mystery of who is doing it. This movie is completely family friendly, and a lot of fun to watch.
My daughter and I had a blast trying to solve the mystery alongside Gabby and Lulu. And for the record, Gabriella Pastore and Ja’ness Tate KILLED it in the lead roles. Keep your eyes on these two because they are going places. WOW! I was beyond impressed with them.
I was nervous that there might be some slow points but there wasn’t. I followed the story all the way through and wasn’t once bored or checking my phone. Part way through it changes to the perspective of the culprit and that part was FUN! Really fun! I quite enjoyed it.
If you enjoy mysteries, this is a must watch family film! You and your kids will be guessing and speculating right along with Lulu and Gabby. Hidden Orchard Mysteries: The Case of the Air B & B Robbery is filled with friendship, girl power, and just fun all around! This could be a great start to a long series of films. I know my daughter and I would watch them all!

When a home robbery occurs in their peaceful neighborhood, two best friends looking for adventure, Lulu (Ja’ness Tate) and Gabby (Gabriella Pastore) attempt to discover the culprit. But in a small community where their closest neighbors are also the most likely suspects, solving a mystery is tricky business for these junior detectives.
