The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Review

The best season of The Umbrella Academy yet!"

– Mama's Geeky

The Umbrella Academy season 3 picks up at season 2's massive cliffhanger -- with the Hargreeves siblings stranded a new time line where the Sparrow Academy has replaced them.

Introducing a whole new family, with a whole new set of superpowers, allows the show to switch things up and keep things fresh. Now there are far too many siblings, and not enough time line, which means some of them have to go.

The Umbrella Academy season 3 is packed with action, right from the first episode. The stunt choreography throughout the entire season is fantastic, although the VFX could use some polishing.

Whenever a plot uses time travel, things can get confusing. But this story is captivating from the start, and successfully comes together with some surprising and jaw dropping twists.

The transition from Vanya to Viktor is addressed this season in a way that feels right. The series could have easily tried to use a ripple in time excuse to change the gender of this character, but instead it is done in a way that stays true to Elliot.

The Umbrella Academy Season 3 Review

In true The Umbrella Academy fashion, the end of the season doesn’t feel like an ending at all, but rather a beginning for season four. We can’t wait to see what the Hargreeves get up to next, because this certainly isn’t the end for them.
