The Wheel Of Time Review

This review is based solely off the first six episodes of season one, with focus on the first three which drop on Prime Video November 19th.

A lot to absorb, which can be a good thing or a bad thing depending on the viewer."

Intriguing Plot

The main thing that works with this series is the story. It is intriguing from the start, and while it is sometimes thin and sometimes convoluted, it never gets dull.

Should You Read The Books?

As someone who has not read the books, I can say they are not necessary. However, it seems clear that they will add a level of appreciation and a better understanding of the many, many characters in the show.

A Fantasy World

As with most fantasy worlds, there is a lot of world and character building necessary to really get it. This aspect of the show is getting there, and hopefully gets better as the season goes on.

The Wheel Of Time Review

The twists and turns help propel the story forward, and while I didn’t love every single second of it, I am still anxious for more. Taking a massive world like this from books and bringing it to the screen is a daunting task, and as someone completely new to the world, this shows feels like it is going to fully get there by the end of the season.
