Ingredients
  

Biscuits
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 cup coconut flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cold butter diced
  • 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese diced or shredded
Gravy
  • 10 oz crumbled pork sausage
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Method
 

Biscuits
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Whip egg whites until very stiff then gently mix in garlic.
  3. In separate bowl combine coconut flour, baking powder, and salt. 
  4. Cut in cold diced butter until they are pea size or smaller.
  5. Gently fold dry mixture into the egg whites. 
  6. Fold in the cheese. 
  7. Dollop dough onto a greased baking sheet, making 8 biscuits. 
  8. Bake for 11 to 15 minutes, until golden brown.
Gravy
  1. Brown sausage over medium heat.
  2. Gradually add cream cheese and broth, stirring constantly, until it simmers, thickens, and becomes smooth.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 2 minutes to thicken - stirring constantly. 
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Pour gravy over halved biscuits.
