Fans of Baby Shark’s Big Show! are going to be over the moon about the new film, Baby Shark’s Big Movie! While these are still the same characters that you have come to know and love, they are now given a feature length adventure to go on that is filled with more catchy songs, incredible guest voices, and important life lessons.

When Mommy Shark gets an important job helping to coordinate entertainment in the big city, the family is forced to move, which pulls Baby Shark away from his best friend, William. The two vow to remain in touch, but as everyone who has moved knows, that is easier said than done.

Still, they make plans for William to come visit for the big show — which is a star-studded event and offers up lots of guest voices like Lance Bass, Cardi B, and ENHYPHEN! Still, there are some truly heartbreaking (and heartwarming) moments that the kids have to go through. All of which are going to offer a lot of takeaways

The movie itself has a lot of new music that is extremely catchy. It is about wanting to be the catchiest song in the sea after all! The songs are where this movie shines. The soundtrack is sure to be on repeat in many houses.

While the villain is great, Trolls Band Together has done this film a disservice as she feels very similar to the main female villain of that movie. Their goals are the same and she even has a little minion to help do her bidding, just as the one in Trolls 3 did. This makes her feel a lot less unique than she would have, had that film not already come out.

That said, obviously Baby Shark’s Big Movie! has been in production for a long time, as was Trolls Band Together, so neither one copied the other. It is just an unfortunate similarity in the two.

Baby Shark’s Big Movie! is really cute and really fun. The music is what helps it to stand out, and those that are fans of the series will love the extra time for an adventure with Baby and William. There are lots of important lessons to learn about friendship, as well.
