TAEMIN, the first Korean male solo artist to perform at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, delivered one of the most buzzworthy performances of the two-weekend festival.

The first weekend rapidly drew viral comments, with many are calling it a “career-defining stage,” and building more anticipation for the second weekend.

On April 18 (local time), Taemin returned to the Mojave Stage in Indio, California, captivating tens of thousands of spectators, an even larger audience driven by word of mouth – with a performance that showcased even deeper artistry and an even more daring stage presence.

One of the most talked-about highlights of the night was his wardrobe, which earned him “best dressed celebrities” mentions by Vogue, I-D Magazine, and DAZED. He teased during his appearance on FOX11’s Good Day LA that he would introduce changes to his outfit with “a more daring level of exposure,” taking the stage in a bold, fashion-forward look centered around a braided top—an elevated and more provocative styling for weekend two.

For the second part of his set, he wore Saint Laurent both weekends, earning him “best fashion moments” recognition in W Magazine.

TAEMIN further refined the narrative elements of his performance, extending the “Red Thread” VCR narrative onto the stage with “Sphere,” where he emerges out of the confines of the sphere, elevating the storyline and maximizing the audience’s immersion.

His setlist, which included six new tracks, resonated even more strongly with the audience in the second week. Songs such as “Permission,” “PARASITE,” “Let Me Be The One,” “Sober,” and “1004” saw noticeably louder sing-alongs from the crowd, as TAEMIN delivered explosive vocals alongside his signature refined choreography.

Immediately after the Coachella stage was broadcast live worldwide, the hashtag “#TEAMCHELLA”—a fan-created term combining Taemin’s name and Coachella—rose to No.1 on global real-time trends on X (formerly Twitter), demonstrating his overwhelming global impact.

His agency, Galaxy Corporation, commented on the successful completion of his Coachella journey, stating, “This result is a synergy between TAEMIN’s artistic depth and Galaxy Corporation’s technological capabilities. While Week One represented ‘shock and freshness,’ Week Two fully realized the ‘refinement and evolution’ that the artist had promised.” They added, “From the GRAMMY Museum exhibition to joining Coachella’s main lineup, TAEMIN’s achievements will set a new benchmark for Korean solo artists on the global stage.”

After concluding his performances, TAEMIN shared, “It was an incredible honor to connect with audiences on the dream stage that is Coachella over the past two weeks. The passion of the crowd is something I will never forget.”

With two successful performances at Coachella, TAEMIN has firmly established himself as a global top-tier solo artist, signaling even more expansive activities on the world stage in the future.
