No One Will Save You feels like an episode of The Twilight Zone. It is packed with surprises that will keep viewers on their toes.

A good thriller will have viewers on the edge of their seats as they wonder what lurks around the next corner. That is exactly what No One Will Save You does in a way that is extremely unique. The film feels like an episode of The Twilight Zone, which is a high compliment.
Written and directed by the brilliant Brian Duffield, who is behind films like Love and Monsters and Spontaneous, No One Will Save You combines elements that we have never seen combined before. It is hard to talk about in depth without spoiling, but we promise to not ruin anything for you.
Note: This piece was written during the 2023 WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes. No One Will Save You would not exist without the labor of the writers and actors in both unions.
It is recommended to go into this film as blindly as possible and to completely immerse yourself in the world. Put on headphones, turn your speakers up, and leave your devices in the other room. Give yourself over to this movie and it will not disappoint.
That being said, if you have already seen the trailers, then you know this is an alien invasion film. Trust us when we tell you it is like one you have never seen before. There are multiple versions of the aliens — just as humans have different body types and personalities, so do these aliens. This keeps things fresh and exciting.
Kaitlyn Dever is absolutely incredible in No One Will Save You. She plays Brynn, a young woman who is a bit of recluse, and clearly has had something happen to her in her past that has shaped her into the person she is today. We don’t know too much about her at the start, and that is ok, because she is still easy to resonate with and fall in love with almost immediately.
Brynn’s whole world turns upside down when her home is taken over by an alien. And things get more and more crazy the longer the movie goes on. Without the right actress, this movie falls apart. Brynn is such an integral part of the film that you need someone who can, more or less, carry the film on her back with her performance. That isn’t to shame the visual effects, the score, the story, or the incredible set pieces, but it is a fact with a movie like this.
Thankfully it all comes together in a way that might be unexpected, but it is very pleasantly unexpected. About twenty minutes in is when viewers will realize this movie is something special, and that they are taking a big risk. A risk that delivers again and again.
The runtime is right around ninety minutes, and it flies by. Action scene after action scene will keep you so busy that you won’t be counting the minutes at all. There are heart pounding moments as you go on this terrifying journey with Brynn, essentially holding her hand through the whole film.
Don’t worry though, it isn’t all scary and intense. There is a bit of heart shoved in here too, that meshes perfectly with the story being told. While it is best to go into this movie not knowing at all what to expect, just know it is going to surprise you time and time again.
The final scene of the movie will have you grinning from ear to ear, and absolutely loving what you just watched. No One Will Save You is one of those films that you are going to want to watch over and over again. It is a fun, creepy, edge-of-your-seat type thriller that might not be for everyone, but those who like Sci-Fi, are going to flip for.
