House Of The Dragon Episode 3 Review

Right from the very first moment of House of the Dragon episode 3 it is apparent that the story has jumped forward yet again. This time it has done so by just under three years, and things are changing for the kingdom. We won’t go into details in an effort to avoid spoilers but just know that this episode continues down the path of peak Game of Thrones.

Rhaenyra feels like the star of this series, and while we spend a lot of time with her during House of the Dragon episode 3, there are many supporting characters who have their time to shine as well.

Alicent Hightower is one such character. Her arc so far is one of the most intriguing, as she seems to have plans that no one is privy to — not even her father. She proves that she is a force to be reckoned with this episode, and we cannot wait to see where this goes. Because chances are she is going to have a much larger impact on the series as a whole than anticipated.

Each episode of House of the Dragon so far has had some action in it, most of which has been filled with gore. But if you thought THAT scene in episode 1 was dark and brutal, just wait. Because House of the Dragon episode 3 gives Game of Thrones fans what they love most — blood, guts, and fire. The best battle sequence yet is showcased at the end of this episode, which doubles as more incredible moments from Matt Smith.

House of the Dragon episode 3 continues to prove that this series is one of the best on television — and they are just getting started.
