Moon Knight Episode 5 Theories

First things first. After the events of Moon Knight episode 4, we have to find out the reality of where Marc is. With this, there are some crazy theories for Moon Knight episode 5.

Moon Knight Is Fake

The most insane one is that the entire show is fake. There is a comic run where Marc is actually a movie director. At the end of the comic we find out he is just insane and this is all in his head. A lot of fans are speculating that this could be the case because we see two personalities of Marc / Steven at once — which in the real world wouldn’t happen. This wouldn’t make any sense because that would mean that Moon Knight isn’t real — but there are already superheroes in the MCU, so there would be no point for this.

It’s All In His Mind

The most realistic theory is that the asylum is his mind. To me, this is the most logical idea. We see the two personalities in Marc / Steven’s mind PLUS we see a third sarcophagus which is likely his third personality, Jake Lockley. We will talk about him more later, but another reason the asylum could be in his head is because every character and object was from their “real life”. Steven’s boss, the statue, Layla, Khonshu’s head, and more were all from the “real life” of Marc / Steven’s life which means they could all be part of his memory – possibly stuck in his mind.

Before Steven was shot, Harrow said, “I cant save anyone who won’t save themselves”. This could mean that Marc has to save himself in his head, and the character that showed up at the end of Moon Knight episode 4 could be the way to do that.

Moon Knight Episode 4 ended with the Goddess Taweret showing up. She is the goddess of life, birth, and rebirth. Marvel likely chose this god since Harrow said Marc has to save himself, Marc might have to make peace with the three of his personalities in order to be “reborn”. It could be that Moon Knight episode 5 is about Marc, Steven, and Jake making peace and coexisting in order to be reborn – having peace and cohesion between all three versions of himself.

Cue The Multiverse

The final theory is probably the biggest stretch of them all. There are theories online that speculate all of these versions of Moon Knight are different people from across the multiverse trapped in one body. This doesn’t make much sense because Marc and Steven share similar life aspects. The biggest red flag with this theory is that Moon Knight wouldn’t “exist” which wouldn’t make sense since the MCU already has heroes.

No matter what happens – Moon Knight episode 5 has a lot of potential to be the best of the series thus far because Moon Knight episode 4 set up some great stuff. One thing is pretty much for sure, things are about to get bonkers crazy!
