Paul Bettany Says Vision Exists For Wanda In WandaVision Interview

During the WandaVision press junket Paul Bettany described Vision as existing for Wanda – and yes, it made my heart melt!

I adore Vision and Wanda’s relationship. Unfortunately it feels like we never got to explore it in the MCU — until now. One of my favorite things about WandaVision is getting to see the two of them do normal things like the dishes — which Jac Shaeffer pointed out during the press junket.

When Paul Bettany, who plays Vision, was asked to talk about him and who he has become, he had the best answer. One that gave me chills, made me smile, and warmed my heart.

Vision has always been becoming something else. He is part Tony Stark, part Ultron, part JARVIS — so why not throw in a little Dick Van Dyke. Vision is just decent and honorable, and exists for Wanda.” – Paul Bettany

Anyone who has been a fan of the MCU knows that yes, Vision is always changing. And this Vision we get in WandaVision might be a bit different, but he is still Vision at the core.

The fact that Paul mentions how deeply Vision feels for Wanda — saying he exists for her — has got to make even the coldest person smile, at least a little bit. That is what true love is all about, isn’t it?

About WandaVision

Starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany, WandaVision marks the first series from Marvel Studios streaming exclusively on Disney+. The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision – two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives – begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.
