In this house, we love Disney. I think pretty much every one knows that. Because there are young girls in the house, Disney Junior is almost always on the TV. There are so many great shows, like Vampirina, that we all love to watch as a family. The Lion Guard is another family favorite so we were thrilled to see a new DVD release from them this week. The Rookie is hands down one of my favorite new ABC TV shows, so when I found out that during the #RalphBreaksTheInternetEvent I would be checking out the set, I was thrilled! This may come as a surprise to you but as a total geek, I am a huge Nathan Fillion (who plays John Nolan in The Rookie) fan. Firefly anyone? Plus Castle was just…amazing! We were warned that we might not see him on set, but that we would be getting a set tour from Mercedes Mason (who plays Zoe Andersen), who I also adore. I loved her in Fear The Walking Dead but I had no idea how much fun she was. I discovered almost immediately she is snarky and loves pranks – my kind of girl!

The Lion King was one of my favorite movies when I was a little girl. Granted, it might have had a little bit to do with my crush on JTT, voice of young Simba, but it is still a fabulous movie. It is funny, heartwarming, and has a great lesson. It still makes me laugh, cry, and even get a little bit scared when we first see Scar. I now have two young daughters, and they love this movie just as much as I did when I was a young girl. I was thrilled to find out it is being released from the vault, and will be available on blu-ray August 29th!

As most of you know I am a giant Marvel fan. I have been reading the comics all my life and so I have been loving the movies that Disney has been releasing. They are doing a fantastic job with the characters and story lines. When they announced Guardians of the Galaxy, I was thrilled. Guardians is probably my favorite Marvel comic book ever. My husband and I have been reading it together for years now and we love everything about it. Star-Lord is one of my favorite characters of all time, for so many reasons. And Chris Pratt played him perfectly. In fact, that movie was cast to perfection – I have zero complaints and that says a lot from someone who has been reading the series since I can remember.

I have two young daughters, so one of our favorite things when visiting Disney World was always the Disney Junior LIVE! show at Hollywood Studios. This is now gone, but it has been replaced with the NEW Disney Junior Dance Party. During our last visit, we decided to check it out. We loved how interactive this show was, although we did miss Sofia the First and Jake, who are not in this show. That being said, some of our favorites have been added like Vampirina and Timon.
