My family has had a tradition of going to see Disney on Ice yearly for quite a while now. I used to go as a child and it is some of my fondest memories. So as soon as I had kids, I knew this was going to be something we were going to do whenever it comes to town. My girls have been loving it, and look forward to the winter because we know that is when Disney on Ice comes. This year the show is Disney On Ice presents Worlds of Enchantment – and we get to bring one of their friends to opening night! They can’t wait!
My daughters will be entering Kindergarten and Second Grade this September. I don’t mean to toot their horns here, but they are both really smart girls. Their report cards this year had my husband and I beaming and more proud than I could have ever imagined. But I know all too well that the summer slump is real, so I feel it is important to keep their education up while they are out of school. One of our favorite local ways to do that is head to the ultimate play destination for all age – the Strong Museum of Play in Rochester, New York.
As I am sure you know, the Smiths are a Disney family. We are Disney Vacation Club members and spend a lot of our time at Walt Disney World. One of our favorite events to attend is Disney on Ice. I remember going when I was a little girl, and now I hope my daughters will have fond memories from when we go when they are older. The latest show, Disney on Ice presents Dream Big, is coming to The Oncenter War Memorial Arena in Syracuse, NY January 2018. My family and I will, of course, be attending – but you can too!
We have been to Disney on Ice many times. We are a Disney family and love all things about it. Disney shows transport us to a magical place where we can forget the stress of real life the second it starts. Our experience was not different last night – however, there was one part that will always stay in my mind, and I will remember it forever.
As you probably know if you come to my blog regularly, we are a Disney family. Whenever there is a Disney event in town, we are there. From Disney on Ice, to Disney Live, to events at our local Disney Store – you can always count on the Smith’s to be there ready to have some fun. Disney Live: Mickey and Minnie’s Magical Doorway was just in town, and we were lucky enough to go. I knew that the whole family would have a good time, because you can’t go wrong with Disney but I had no idea just how much fun.
Join Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they travel to the timeless worlds of Disney’s “The Lion King,” “The Little Mermaid,” “Peter Pan” and the No. 1 animated feature film of all time, “Frozen,” in Disney On Ice presents Passport to Adventure! Celebrate the most memorable Disney tales with all your favorite characters in one fun-filled ice production visiting Syracuse from Dec. 14-18 for seven performances at The Oncenter War Memorial Arena. Tickets are on sale now at The Solvay Bank Box Office at The Oncenter or through Ticketmaster.
My 5 year old daughter is really into music. She tells us that music class is her favorite class in Kindergarten. Because of this, we know that taking her to Symphoria CNY’s Halloween Spooktacular would be the highlight of her Halloween – and we were right! Our 3 year old really enjoyed it as well, and of course so did my husband and myself.
Symphoria, the world-class symphony orchestra in Central New York, announced that single tickets are on sale for its 2016-17 season. The current season has sold out 10 out of 21 concerts to date, with six performances remaining, one of which is almost at capacity. Symphoria’s fourth full season is expected to be an “Experience Beyond Measure” with more venues and variety, including 27 concerts in five performance series: Masterworks, Casual, Pops, Spark and Kids. The season includes more concert performance times, stars such as multiplatinum-selling vocalist Ann Hampton Callaway, Cherish the Ladies, the return of cirque performers, music of famous movie superheroes and villains, collaborations with local singing and dancing groups, and more.
Yesterday my family and I decided to check out the Paw Patrol Roll Patrol Road Tour at the Great New York State Fair. When we got there, the line looked really long – like, REALLY long – but we got in line anyways since this was the thing my girls wanted to check out at the fair. We went last weekend because we knew most of the day would be spent on Paw Patrol this time. We ended up waiting about 3.5 hours in line to enter Adventure Bay. Was this all worth it? Find out here.
