I am an avid gamer. If I had it my way, I would still be able to spend hours in front of the TV on the couch playing XBOX or Playstation. And by hours I mean, like 10-12 hour binges – my dad used to call me a “vidiot” because of how much time I spent gaming. But alas, life happened and I have two beautiful little human beings I need to take care of. But, that doesn’t mean that I cannot find the time to play video games now and then.
The Peanuts Gang – Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Woodstock – they are iconic. Just last night, for family movie night, we watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I own all of the Peanuts Holiday films. It just would not be the same without them! I remember watching them when I was younger and I love that I can now pass them on to my girls. We recently received three Peanuts books and they have quickly become a favorite of my ours! Each book focuses on people in history that every child should know about – Great Inventors, Great Explorers, and Great Heroes!
If your children are anything like mine, they love PBS Kids. My girls just cannot get enough of PBS shows. Those couple hours in the middle of the day when it switches away from kid shows are rarely fun times. Yes, I do a lot of stuff with my girls like puzzles and crafts, but the TV is almost always on in the background. They like the comfort of knowing it is there. I was thrilled to receive these DVDs. from PBS Kids because I play them during that “down time” now.
We LOVE games in our house! I know that I say that all the time, but that is because it is true. We play games at least 10 times a week, if not more. I am always playing with my girls, but my husband and I try to get an adult game night in at least a week as well. Not to mention, my in-laws live less than 5 minutes from me so we have them over to play games a lot – at least once a month, but usually more. Get-togethers are just not the same without a good game. I have had the opportunity to test out Winning-Moves games before, and I was super lucky to get four more to tell you about!
We love to play games in our house. We have game nights several times a week just us and then a few times a month, my in-laws come over. I used to think that having little ones would mean playing the same games over and over but that is just not the case. I was so happy to find Wonder Forge because they have so many games for children preschool age (3+). They are all Disney and Disney owned franchises themed, which means you know your kids will love them!
