All things Disney, Star Wars, and Marvel!

OK guys, I am so super excited about this! Marvel Studios has begun principal photography at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Georgia on CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, the third installment of its Super Hero franchise. The movie opens in theaters everywhere on May 6th, 2016 and I for one, have a countdown going. As a HUGE Marvel buff (I know, I know, you know this by now) I am thrilled about this! I could not be more excited about it. Having read all the comics, I cannot help but wonder just what is going to happen. I hate that I swear no spoilers to you guys because I am sure there is a lot of action, drama, and rifts headed our way! I feel like Avengers: Age of Ultron did really good at foreshadowing something that might happen. Side Note: If you have not seen it yet, you have to! I am thinking of going for the second time this weekend.

Today is the day! Avengers is open in theaters everywhere! I went to see it last night and all I can say is go see it! Do it the right way, spoil yourself, and see it in IMAX 3D – you will not be disappointed. I am hoping to go see it again while it is in theaters. Being a HUGE Marvel Geek this movie was everything that I wanted it to be, and more. I beg of you, go see it! Even if you are not that in to comics, you are sure to love this movie. It is packed with action, comedy – and it is a great story. It is an all star cast – every actor was the perfect choice to play their character. I cannot complain about one thing! Please, please, please, go see it!

I am a geek, a gamer, and a lover of all things nerdy. And that, my friends, includes Star Wars. My husband and I went to Star Wars Weekend at Disney World for our honeymoon and it was amazing. We met Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) and it was one of the best times of my life. So naturally we are both eagerly awaiting the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Yesterday in Anaheim, California, J.J. Abrams (writer/director/producer) and Kathleen Kennedy (producer) kicked off Star Wars Celebration with an exclusive new look at STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS. They welcomed surprise special guests from the film: Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaacs as well as veterans of the original saga Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Anthony Daniels, and Peter Mayhew. The talented team of filmmakers and actors shared a behind the scenes look at the upcoming film and, to the surprise of fans around the world, debuted a brand new teaser trailer.

I love to play games with my family. It is always so exciting when we can find a game that we can all play and understand – even my 2 year old. We found that with Spot It! from Blue Orange Games. Now we have played Spot It! before – we own the Doc McStuffins version (you can read that review here) and we love it. I was so happy to see a Disney Frozen version come out because we still watch that movie on repeat in our home. I know that mommy loves it just as much as my girls do. Spot It! is the perfect family game, especially when your family contains little ones.

I love to spend time with my daughters doing different crafts and activities. Every morning, we head to the computer and my 3.5 year picks out some printables that she wants to do that day. She usually picks out things for her 2 year old sister, but sometimes her sister gets upon my lap and decides too. Ever since we booked our Disney trip, whenever the girls see that signature “D” they flip out. So of course, Disney/Pixar’s Inside Out has been a big hit in this house. Every single time a preview comes on they both jump up and down and beg to go see it. I promised them that opening weekend in June, we will be there.

Cinderella is in theaters now and I cannot wait to go see it! I love all things Disney. My husband and I honeymooned there and most recently booked our second trip to take the girls (they will be 2.5 and 4 when we go). This is lucky visit #15 for me and it never gets old. I feel like a kid again when I go. Cinderella has always been one of my favorite stories. It is truly a classic. I have heard such great things about this movie and how well they stuck to the true story of Cinderella.
