Disney Dumbo 2019 Trailer Reaction

Disney’s Dumbo (2019) Teaser Trailer is Here and IT IS EVERYTHING! (Plus My Reaction Video!) | #DUMBO

One of my favorite movies growing up was Dumbo. I must have watched it a thousand times. In fact, my young daughters have even seen it a few times (and they love it too). I just adore the moral and story behind it. So when I heard Disney was doing a reimagining I was thrilled. Then I heard one of my favorite directors, Tim Burton, was at the helm and I could barely contain my excitement. Well, this morning the official teaser trailer dropped and it is everything. I could not have asked for more (but really, give me more!!).

The Incredibles to Incredibles 2: An Interview with the Filmmakers | #Incredibles2Event #Incredibles2

One of my favorite meetings from my visit to Pixar Animation Studios, was chatting with Incredibles 2 Director Brad Bird as well as Producers Nicole Grindle and John Walker. I always enjoy hearing about the making of and behind the scenes information when it comes to movies, which made this trip was so special to me. In this interview we talked a lot about the time gap between The Incredibles and Incredibles 2 and what it meant for the film. Not only in regards to the plot, but in regards to constantly evolving technology and so much more.

Incredibles 2 Animation: From Creating the Literal World to Making An Action Scene | #Incredibles2Event

The process of making an animated film is arguably more complex than shooting a live action one. All of the sets, costumes, characters, etc, have to be created from scratch. If you see a vase holding a plant in the background of a scene, someone had to create that. They had to use an animation program and build that vase AND that plant. Not to mention all of the other little details such as making bricks look like bricks. As we see in Incredibles 2, animators had to create an entire city for the super battles to take place. From background things, to a high speed chase – we learned about the incredible (no pun intended) process!

Disney INCREDIBLES 2 Costumes

Costuming the Characters of Incredibles 2: Mid-Century Aesthetic & Lots of Hard Work | #Incredibles2Event

Did you know that when making an animated feature film, the crew has to create looks for every single background character? I guess I knew that, but I never thought much about how much work goes in to it. They have to design not only their clothes, but their hairstyles and body types. Of course, the main characters have to be styled as well. It could totally be argued that more work goes in to the costumes for animated films than live action films. While at Pixar, I was lucky enough to talk to the costume designers for Incredibles 2 and I learned so much about the whole process.

Disney Channel’s Newest Original Movie, Zombies, On DVD 4/24!

When we were on our most recent family vacation at Disney World,  the newest Disney Channel Original Movie came out. I remember my husband and I cuddling up with our daughters on our bed at the Polynesian and watching Zombies. My girls are in to spooky things for some reason, and so this movie was right up their alley! Not too scary, but featuring one of their favorite things – ZOMBIES! Honestly, my husband and I really enjoyed this movie too.

The Thor: Ragnarok Bonus Features Will Have You Cracking Up All Over Again! | #ThorRagnarok #Marvel

If you have been a follower of mine for a while, then you likely know I went to LA for the Thor: Ragnarok red carpet premiere. I was lucky enough to interview some of the cast and it was something I will never forget. Totally one of my favorite press events to date. If you didn’t see my spoiler free review of the film, you can read it here. Well, Thor: Ragnarok has finally come home. There are many reasons to pick it up (honestly one of the best Marvel films to date, in my opinion), but the bonus features are the main reason! The deleted and extended scenes, as well as the gag reel, had me laughing so hard I had tears.

2018 Disney Studios, Marvel, & LucasFilm Movie Slate – We Are In For Quite A Year! | #Disney #Marvel #StarWars

As I am sure you know, I am a big fan of movies. It is hard with young kids, but my husband and I try to go to the movies at least once a month. Of course, for most Disney films, we can take them along with us. 2018 is going to be one incredible year – for the entire Smith family. From Marvel films that I could have dreamed of 10 years ago, to re-imaginings and sequels of a couple of my favorite films – it is going to have it all.

My 5 Favorite Moments in Star Wars: The Last Jedi WARNING SPOILERS! | #StarWars #TheLastJedi

As you may or may not know, my husband and I are huge Star Wars fans. We attended Star Wars Weekend at Walt Disney World for our honeymoon, and even walked out at our reception to the Imperial Death March. So to say we have been waiting for The Last Jedi to hit theaters for a while now is an understatement. We were both really excited to see how this movie fit in. I know some Star Wars fans out there were not happy with it, but we both were. Here are my 5 favorite moments – and a few honorable mentions – yeah, it was hard to narrow it down.

The Incredibles 2 Teaser Trailer is Here – and It Gave Me Goosebumps! | #Incredibles2 #DisneyPixar

Incredibles came out in 2004 and immediately skyrocketed to the top of my most favorite Disney movies ever list. I sort of have a thing for superheroes, in case you never noticed that. I loved everything about it – the family, the superpowers, the villains, the backstory… It was incredibly (no pun intended) well done. With the way it ended I knew that it left the door open for a second one, and I was dying to see that happen. When it was announced, I was thrilled – and now that time is almost here! Next year (June 15, 2018), Incredibles 2 will be hitting theaters, and the teaser trailer that was just released gave me goosebumps.
