In Your Dreams, an upcoming Netflix animated film, asks, “What if your dreams could become reality?” in its new teaser trailer.

The teaser trailer for In Your Dreams asks the question, “What if your dreams could become a reality?”. After learning of The Sandman’s existence, and that if you find him, he will make your dreams come true, siblings Stevie and Elliot join forces to hunt him down in their dreams.
By the looks of the teaser trailer, it appears they will have to make their way through quite a few nightmares in order to do it. We also meet Baloney Tony in the trailer, who is sure to be everyone’s favorite stuffed animal filled with deli meat!
In Your Dreams: Meet The Characters
STEVIE (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport)
In her 12 long years of life, things have pretty much gone exactly the way Stevie planned they would go. She got straight A’s (except for that one pesky B in PE, but let’s be honest, gym isn’t a real class anyways), she aced her piano recital last week, and her face is finally starting to grow into her bangs.
On the rare occasion that things don’t go the way she thinks they should, Stevie wastes no time and fixes the situation. Stevie is the glue that holds everything together and she obsessively wants her life – especially her family – to be perfect. But there is one thing that always seems to get in Stevie’s way….
ELLIOT (Elias Janssen)
Stevie’s fun-loving rambunctious, 8-year-old little brother. Whereas Stevie wants everything to be perfect, Elliot fully embraces the messiness of life. Elliot thinks the world is his oyster – if an oyster were something you played with and not something gross and slimy you ate at boring adult parties. Elliot’s imagination is off the charts, in and out of the dream world. His hair is as unkempt as his side of the bedroom, which is littered with toys, stuffed animals, and trails of sliced baloney.
At first glance Stevie and Elliot’s relationship seems filled with typical sibling squabbling, but upon closer inspection, it’s clear that Elliot looks up to Stevie and longs to connect with her the way they used to before she got a bad case of puberty. While he’d never admit it, Elliot’s turned to pestering to get Stevie to notice him when she’d otherwise write him off.
BALONEY TONY (Craig Robinson)
Baloney Tony is Elliot’s long lost stuffy. A small, one-eyed giraffe with a matted mane, Tony’s loud neon color scheme has muted over the years, but not his personality. He’s a pint-sized adorable rascal whose snarky personality and cutting sarcasm only adds to his charm. But despite all his bravado, Baloney Tony is all stench and no bite.
In reality, he’s a coward at heart. When the nightmares roll in, Baloney Tony will run and hide rather than face his fears. Named after his unique aroma – a processed meat that Elliot has been stuffing into his open seam since he was a toddler – the mystery of Baloney Tony’s whereabouts has become the stuff of legend in their household.
DAD (Simu Liu)
Michael Ting is a loving father and a talented musician. In college, he and his then girlfriend, now wife, Jennifer, formed an indie folk band called The Hypsonics. Their first album went gold, and the duo were well on their way to living out their dreams of music stardom. But just as they were about to go on tour, life surprised them with a baby.
Twelve years later, Michael is the only band member left, as Jennifer now teaches music at the local community college. He’s on his 5th album, but none of them have quite reached the heights of their breakout debut. In spite of his more modest success, Michael still loves what he does and believes he needs to persevere in the pursuit of his dreams to set an example for his kids that they should never give up on theirs.
MOM (Cristin Milioti)
Stevie gets her dreamer mentality from Dad, she gets her strength, practicality and go-getter work ethic from her mom, Jennifer. After giving birth to Elliot, Mom decided to take a step back from music to pursue a more practical career that would give her kids the stability she believes they need.
Mom still loves music, but she loves her children more, and rebranded herself as an educator. She now teaches music at the local community college, but aspires to a professorship at a big university.
Netflix’s In Your Dreams comes to the streaming platform on November 14.
