Ahsoka episode 6 catches up with Sabine and her search for Ezra, as well as Morgan, Baylan, and Shin’s search for Thrawn.
While there is just no way to top the previous two episodes of Ahsoka, especially for Anakin Skywalker stans, Ahsoka episode 6 tries its hardest. Fans knew that two people were going to be making an appearance in the series, and what better time to introduce them than after a heartfelt reunion between and Anakin and Ahsoka.
That’s right, Thrawn and Ezra have entered there chat. And while it was a bit anti-climatic following last week, it is exciting to think about what this means and where the show will go from here.
Ahsoka Episode 6 “Far, Far Away” Recap
Ahsoka episode 6 kicks off with Ahsoka and Huyang inside the Purrgil on their way to catch up with Sabine. Ahsoka confesses that she knows Sabine went willingly, with Huyang says is impossible, but also likely a choice that she was always going to make — no matter what.
Ahsoka asks to hear a story from the Jedi temple, whith Huyang begins with “A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away.” Something that will have Star Wars fans squealing with joy. This is the last time we see them this episode, and the assumption can be made that they will show up at the start of Ahsoka episode 7.
Ahsoka episode 6 recap continued…
Shin, Morgan, Baylan, and Sabine meet up with the Night Mothers, and it is revealed that their visions are what guided Morgan to them. They say that yes, Thrawn is there, and he is on his way. Once they meet with Thrawn, he tells them they must pack up his starship and leave the galaxy. He is ready to incite war and leave his exile.
He hears that Sabine Wren is there and wishes to meet with her. He knows her well, which Star Wars Rebels fans are aware of. Thrawn tells her that he will honor Baylan’s deal to not harm her and to help her find Ezra, since she is the reason Morgan was able to get to him.
Ahsoka episode 6 recap continued…
He gives Sabine provisions, a howl beast to ride, and the last known location for Ezra. Before sending her on her way, he is sure to let he know that she took a gamble for her galaxy on a friend who could very well be dead. In true Sabine fashion, she pokes at him saying if he is alive, she is sure Ezra is just fine. Thrawn tells Baylan and Shin to follow her, and to kill both her and Ezra should she find him.
The planet they are on has raiders wandering it, and Sabine gets in a bit of a scuffle, using her lightsaber to cut down her competition. She then discovers an adorable people, who are like turtle/snail creatures. One sees the symbol on her armor and reveals that he has a necklace with the same symbol. The rebel symbol. Sabine realizes this means they know where Ezra is, and she asks to be taken to him.
Ahsoka episode 6 recap continued…
Once in their city, Sabine looks around, taking it all in. Then she hears “I knew I could trust you” and turns to see Ezra. The two embrace. When he asks her how she got there, she says she wants to celebrate that she found him for a while before they get into it. Perhaps she doesn’t want to let him know what she had to sacrifice in order to find him.
She is also unaware that Ahsoka is on her way to the planet, so she likely thinks she is now trapped there with Ezra. The two start to roundup the camp, as Ezra explains they never stay in one place for too long.
Ahsoka episode 6 ends with Thrawn realizing that Ahsoka is likely alive. He tells the Night Mothers that he will need help with their dark magic, again. With just two episodes of Ahsoka season 1 left, the next two are sure to be packed with action, and likely leave off on a minor cliffhanger in hopes for an Ahsoka season 2.
