The Flash first reactions are in. It had its world premiere at CinemaCon 2023 and those who have seen it are calling it fantastic, incredible, and the best DC movie ever made.
The Flash First Reactions
When The Flash was announced to premiere at CinemaCon 2023, nearly two full months before its release to theaters, it was clear that Warner Bros. is confident about it. But then, knowing that social embargo was going to lift as soon as the movie finished, that proves they know they have something good.
So it should come as no surprise that the majority of tweets and The Flash first reactions coming out of CinemaCon praise the film. The Flash is being called fantastic, incredible, and a must see. It is being called one of the best DC movies ever made, if not THE best, and is said by more than one viewer that it has Back to the Future vibes.
Others say it is a bit oversaturated and that there are some bizarre choices made, but that it is still a solid watch. The Flash is also called the funniest DC movie yet by some that have seen it.
Here are just a highlighted few of The Flash tweets that showcase what the press, and DC fans, think of the movie. It is safe to say that we cannot wait for this one to hit theaters so that we can see it ourselves.
Yup. #TheFlash is as good as rumored. It’s Back to the Future meets Spider-Man: No Way Home with all the humor & heart of the former and action and surprises of the latter. If anything, it might be a tad too ambitious but it’s also just incredibly satisfying, heartwarming & fun. pic.twitter.com/Yysb9mjiAm

Just watched #TheFlash at CinemaCon. It has some stuff in it you will not believe and it showcases much more of Barry Allen’s powers. It is indeed one of DC’s best and fits nicely as a bridge story between the old and new DCEU franchises. It’s also the funniest DC movie. pic.twitter.com/uDepMKVVG1

#TheFlash is excellent! The film does a good job balancing The Multiverse, Time-Travel, & its main characters. The multiple Barry’s are handled w/ finesse. Seeing Michael Keaton as #Batman again made me feel like a kid again, loved @SashaCalle’s #Supergirl & some cool surprises! pic.twitter.com/eCrALUDeKv

The Flash is hands down one of the best superhero films of all time. No joke, The Flash is the ultimate movie going experience as it has a little bit of everything! Action, emotion, heart, humor and plenty of nostalgia. Ezra Miller is phenomenal as dual Barry Allens. Michael… pic.twitter.com/F7SHA30vZM

Damn, #TheFlash is good! It’s super inventive both visually and in concept. The dynamic of two Barry Allen’s is crazy well done.
Emotions hit me intensely hard, solid surprises, and it got me wanting to watch again and really eager to see how they follow it. Well done. pic.twitter.com/7QqiHVNAJy

#TheFlash is pretty great, and it makes sense to me now why DC didn't shelve this one. Michael Keaton is … chef's kiss. I didn't realize how much I needed Keaton's Batman in my life again. Some really emotional moments here. Sasha Calle is awesome – I want to see more of her! pic.twitter.com/2DYhSKMfyI

THE FLASH is awesome! One of the very best DC movies, a perfect blend of action, heart & humor! So many WOW & chill-inducing moments that longtime DC fans will love! EZRA MILLER is superb (twice, actually!) & MICHAEL KEATON’s still got it! #TheFLASH #BATMAN #CinemaCon pic.twitter.com/mYJrz7YUZG

#TheFlash manages to deliver glorious high thrills. Andy Muschietti captures what many of us have always dreamed for a cinematic Flash story.
But there's also plenty of just *bizarre* decisions. Some story related and others technical. Not amazing but still pretty good at times. pic.twitter.com/SjO27VtH1O

DC’s #TheFlash is TREMENDOUS! Forget DC, it is without a doubt among the best superhero films ever made. An all-timer. Inventive storytelling, FANTASTIC action sequences, great cast. SO MANY nerdy details. I’m in tears at the end. Everything you want from a superhero film & more pic.twitter.com/xYSn0zuXMm

Yeah, #TheFlash is legit great! It delivers some notably thrilling, fun and creative moments I felt I hadn’t seen in a million other superhero movies. It had me smiling from the Warner Bros. logo at the top and I even dug stuff inspired by movies I wasn’t into. pic.twitter.com/B5vFyFBBcl

#TheFlash is massively entertaining! Extraordinarily funny, but still has solid emotional stakes. It’s one of the better multiverse movies out there.

#TheFlash is very good, especially given how oversaturated we are with multiverse stories.
It’s a really savvy, charming take on Flashpoint that effectively wields nostalgia rather than weaponizing it. Some genuinely delightful set pieces too! pic.twitter.com/0GXZhW6vQi

I am happy to confirm that #TheFlash is the best DC film since The Dark Knight. Keaton returns to his iconic role seamlessly and is joined by a League of familiar faces that fans will be Super surprised to see 😉. This is the kind of movie we need now. pic.twitter.com/nE8jEuvZSO

#TheFlash: Fans are going to go nuts for this. Miller and Keaton are both very good, there are Easter eggs galore, and there’s some super inventive and impressive visuals from Muschietti. Most importantly, though, the story is actually really solid. Best DC movie in many years.

#TheFlash is fantastic. I know Ezra Miller has made a lot of mistakes but they are soooooo good in this movie. Loved Keaton, the action, humor and emotion. Andy Muschietti has crafted something special. Thumbs way up.
WB didn’t show the after the credits scenes. pic.twitter.com/J8KsdrKVwz

Nostalgic. HILARIOUS. With tons of heart and two outstanding performances by Ezra Miller. I honestly can’t believe #TheFlash actually exists. It’s magical. It presses every button. I’ll see it 1,000 times. pic.twitter.com/hhT6dXz6PO

Just out of #TheFlash at CinemaCon. Believe the hype folks – truly one of the great superhero movies. Ezra Miller (x2), Sasha Calle and MICHAEL KEATON. It’s pretty perfect and one of the best films of this type you could ever hope to see.

BELIEVE THE HYPE! Christopher Nolan movies aside, #TheFlashMovie is the GREATEST DC movie of the last 30 years that belongs in the same conversation as SUPERMAN 78 and BATMAN 89. The movie breaks incredible new ground in superhero cinema & honors DC lore of years past. #TheFlash pic.twitter.com/zGkhpfjlsl

About The Flash
Worlds collide when the Flash uses his superpowers to travel back in time to change the events of the past. However, when his attempt to save his family inadvertently alters the future, he becomes trapped in a reality in which General Zod has returned, threatening annihilation.
With no other superheroes to turn to, the Flash looks to coax a very different Batman out of retirement and rescue an imprisoned Kryptonian — albeit not the one he’s looking for.
