Devil May Care Is A Hilarious Hell-Based Adult Animation

Devil May Care is a hilarious adult animated show that is pure brilliance. It stars Alan Tudyk and that is all you need to know.

I am a huge fan of adult animated shows because of how often they push the boundaries. Rick and Morty, Robot Chicken, and now Devil May Care top the list of my favorites. I knew very little going into Devil May Care and was hooked within the first five minutes. Not only for the story line, which is unique and brilliant, but because of the casting choice of Alan Tudyk.

If you know me, you know I am a giant fan of Tudyk. The man is insanely talented in both live action and voice over work. So just knowing he was a part of this new show, I was sold. But then as the show went on, I couldn’t help but love it for other reasons. I received seven episodes to screen and I watched them all in a row because, honestly, I just couldn’t stop. And I was genuinely sad when the final one ended — I need more.

The plot of this show is like nothing I have seen before. Beans (Asif Ali), a Gen Z kid, is killed and sent to Hell. There he works for the Devil (Alan Tudyk) as his social media manager. As you can imagine there are a whole lot of timely jokes and quips. I found myself laughing out loud several times in each episode, which by the way, just get better and better.

One of my favorite things about this show is that every other voice actor holds their own against Tudyk. Sure, he is a standout because he is amazing at what he does, but Asif Ali, Pamela Adlon, and Stephanie Beatriz, just to name a few, fit their characters perfectly as well.

This show touches on so many relevant social media issues such as memes, dating apps, and Tik Tok (Chick Chock in Devil May Care). The first episode is out now, and I highly recommend you check it out. Trust me, it only gets better from there, and with an incredible pilot, that surely says something.

If you are looking for a show that will have you literally laughing out loud, but also entertained by the plot points and story, this one is for you. Get ready to be wowed by the amazing voice cast and truly taken in by Hell like you have never seen it before. Because Devil May Care is an adult animation, there is language and of course, some adult themes. This is not a children’s cartoon by any means — although older teens will probably be fine.

Experience Hell like you never have before in this hilarious new comedy that not only stars an amazing voice cast, but tells a great story and teaches lessons about how social media controls us as well.
