The Chase is ABC’s newest game show and it is a ton of fun! I chatted with host Sara Haines and learned some The Chase fun facts!
We are a game show household and The Chase used to be one of our favorites, so when we heard it was coming to ABC, we were over the moon. Then the details were announced and to discover there is not one, but three Chasers – all Jeopardy legends – James Holzhauer, Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter. To say this upped our hype level is an understatement.
We have been tuning into each and every episode so when I was given the chance to interview The Chase host Sara Haines, I jumped at it. She is just as nice as you would imagine and we had a great time talking.
The Chase Fun Facts
While chatting with Sara, she let us in on some really fun facts about ABC’s The Chase!
- Sara has always been a talker, so when asked how she does at reading the questions so quickly — well, she feels right at home!
- Sara swears when she messes up — and had to have one cut from a final episode once!
- I know that I have learned some interesting facts from watch The Chase — and so has Sara!
- How would Sarah describer the Chasers in one word? Ken – warm. James – snarky. Brad – chill.
- Accuracy is important – people have money at stake – from the chasers to the contestants. So Sara reads the questions over ahead of time to catch any words that might trip her up.
- Sara uses the chasers as her very own personal Google!
- This is Sara’s first ever game show — and she was very excited about it as she comes from a family that loves game shows! She has always dreamt of being a part of a game show!
- Sara finds that just having a conversation with the contestants can help put them at ease.
- “My aspirations were comedic and I ended up in news.” – Sara
- Sara and the chasers had a dinner when they first met and by the end, they were laughing and joking like family. “They literally felt like brothers. They started jousting and joking and I thought, Ken is like this warm paternal figure, Brad is like this cool guy I could see myself hanging out with, and James was like that sibling that just everything you said, he’s like pfffttt.“
- Her favorite look of hers includes a French braid — watch out for that episode!
