I’m Your Woman is a new movie on Amazon Prime Video and it will have you wondering if what you watched had any plot at all.

If you watch the trailer and read the synopsis for I’m Your Woman on Amazon Prime Video, it sounds like it could be an interesting movie. I am a big fan of thrillers and movies with suspense, and this sounded right up my alley. But the longer and longer it went on, I started to wonder when something was going to happen, and when a plot would reveal itself. Sadly, it never does.

This movie is two hours long and unfortunately it feels excruciatingly longer. It starts off with Eddie coming home to his wife, jean, with a baby. Apparently they had tried for a baby and could not have one. Now they had one. Simple as that. There is a short explanation later on who this baby is and where he came from, but it never really settles in right.

One morning Eddie goes off to work and says that he won’t be home that night. That evening, Jean and the baby, Harry, are whisked away into the night by Eddie’s associates. They say it doesn’t matter where Eddie is, but people are looking for him and they need to get out of town.

Seems like a fantastic set up doesn’t it? I expected the rest of this film to be heart-poundingly interesting. I wanted to be on the edge of my seat as I waited for Eddie to pop back up and explain what was going on. But none of that ever really happens. The movie never quite finds itself and eventually I stopped waiting for something to happen, and just waited for it to end.

And when it finally does, that isn’t worth the wait either. It just seems to end, with no pay off what-so-ever. I honestly don’t know what this movie was supposed to be about. If I had to say something positive, I would mention that Rachel Brosnahan does a great job as the main character, Jean, who doesn’t know what is happening half the time either.
