We FINALLY have a trailer for Season 2 of The Mandalorian and the hype is REAL! Here is my trailer breakdown for The Mandalorian Season 2!

Some people might be saying that there are “issues” with The Mandalorian Season 2 (ahem – Grace Randolph), but there isn’t. There never was. There are no reshoots, no delays, no major changes coming. Pedro Pascal is still doing press for Season 2, and getting ready to shoot Season 3. Anyways, The Mandalorian Season 2 trailer dropped today. You know. The day it was always supposed to drop.

Anyways, this trailer set us up for what is sure to be an amazing Season Two! Anyone who has watch The Mandalorian Season One knows that this show is pretty incredible. It is like a samurai western, and I am a big fan. The very final shot is Moff Gideon with the Darksaber, which if you have watched The Clone Wars or Rebels  you know it is a BIG deal.

So here is what The Mandalorian Season Two trailer gave us — not much, but enough! I hope you enjoy my little breakdown with my favorite shots from the trailer!

The Mandalorian Season 2 Trailer Breakdown

I was hoping for a lot of things in the trailer for The Mandalorian Season 2 – Ahsoka, Boba Fett, and of course, more Moff Gideon. Oh yea, and some more Baby Yoda (I mean The Child) action. I got some of what I wanted, but either way, what I did get, I loved. Like I am HERE for it!

The opening scene is showing us a VERY beat up Razor Crest. It is not looking so good. The hatch in the back is just hanging open! And one of the engines (thrusters? I don’t know! I am not an engineer) is sparking! This could be immediately picking up where The Mandalorian Season One ended.

One of my favorite parts of the trailer is seeing the X-Wings. I love how we see them through Mando’s window. Such a cool shot.

This trailer showed us what we can only assume is Tatooine. Right? Either way it is GORGEOUS!

And we got Ahsoka!!!! For about one second. I was thrilled. I was excited! But wait… does she have orange skin? Hard to tell. No face markings. No headtails. So wait, it is actually Ahsoka? OR is it Sasha Banks, possibly playing Sabine Ren? Someone else? The comments on my YouTube Channel and around the interwebs seem to say Sabine but who really knows for sure. Or is it simply none of the above. Honestly it is REALLY hard to tell. Which seems to be on purpose. The scene is dark, there is a fog around, and the figure is cloaked, so it is hard to make out the face.

It is probably is Sasha Banks but who she is playing? That is anyone’s guess. Although the main consensus seems to be Sabine. Only time will tell!

About The Mandalorian Season 2

The Mandalorian and the Child continue their journey, facing enemies and rallying allies as they make their way through a dangerous galaxy in the tumultuous era after the collapse of the Galactic Empire.

“The new season is about introducing a larger story in the world. The stories become less isolated, yet each episode has its own flavor, and hopefully we’re bringing a lot more scope to the show.” – Jon Favreau
