  • 2.5 cups of Pork Sausage (crumbled) — I like to use the Jimmy Dean fully cooked crumbles.

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • phyllo dough
  • vegetable oil

You will also need a muffin tin to cook these sausage stars in.

How To Make Sausage Stars Appetizer

This sausage star appetizer is sure to be a hit with everyone! They are simple and take less than 15 minutes to make!

  1. Set oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Cook sausage according to package. If using the Jimmy Dead crumbles, this just involves a microwave!
  3. Dip phyllo dough in oil and carefully place them in muffin tin in order to create a shell for the filling.
  4. Bake for 1-2 minutes or until the dough becomes slightly stiff. Be careful, these bake quickly and you are going to need to bake them again.
  5. Combine cooked sausage, ranch dressing, and cheeses in a bowl. Mix well.
