Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is finally here and to help celebrate its release, here are my favorite quotes from the movie.
Tonight I saw Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker and it blew my mind. Not only was the movie the best of the trilogy, in my opinion, it was filled with so many quotes that I felt the urge to write down that I filled up an ENTIRE NOTEBOOK. So enjoy these amazing quotes from The Rise of Skywalker, but be warned the second half contains massiv spoilers.

Star Wars Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker Quotes From The Trailers

“Taking one last look at my friends.” – C-3PO

“The dead speak” – Opening Crawl
Literally the first line of the crawl. And I LOVED it. Got me hyped from the start.
“My boy. I made Snoke. I have been every voice you have ever heard inside your head.” – Emperor Palpatine
“Kill the girl. End the Jedi. Become what your grandfather Vader could not.” – Emperor Palpatine
“She is not who you think she is.” – Palpatine
And who she is is something I NEVER saw coming.
“Last jump. Maybe forever. Hold on.” – Poe
“Don’t tell me what things look like. Tell me what things are.” – Leia
“Never underestimate a droid.” – Leia
Later, this comes back around and Rey says it. It was perfect.
“You’re the best fighter we have. We need you. Out there. Not here.” – Poe
“Bones. Never a good sign.” – C-3PO
“Horrible things have happened with this.” – Rey
“CHEWIE!!” – Rey
“Always in the shadows, from the very beginning.” _ Leia
“I don’t care if you win. I need Kylo Ren to lose.” – General Hux
The whole audience cheered at this part. Amazing.
“Alone with friends.” – Finn
“In the event I don’t make it back, I want you to know you’ve been a real friend, R2. My best one, in fact.” – C-3PO
I just know this will hit me harder the second time around.
“I see through the cracks in your mask. You’re haunted.” – Rey
“They gave you up to save you.” – Kylo Ren

“You can’t go back to her now. Just like I can’t.” – Kylo Ren
And then I cried. Because I felt Kylo’s — no Ben’s — heart aching.

“Nothing’s impossible.” – Leia
“I can’t stand the cries anymore.” – Zorii
“Can I kiss you?” – Poe
“A bad place, from an old war.” – Rey

Of course someone was going to say this, because someone says it in every Star Wars movie. This… was perfect.
“The Force brought us here. It’s real. I wasn’t sure then, but I am now.” – Finn
“Ben.” – Leia
“Good bye, dear Princess.” – Maz Kanata
“I did want to take your hand. Ben’s hand.” – Rey
“Hey kid.” – Han Solo
“Dad.” – Kylo Ren
“I know.” – Han Solo
Yup. This part killed me. I loved it so much.
“Kylo Ren is dead. My son is alive.” – Han Solo
And my heart swelled…
“I know what I have to do but I don’t know if I have the strength to do it.” – Kylo Ren
“You do.” – Han Solo
“I need you in command with me.” – Poe
“She will come. Her friends will follow.” – Emperor Palpatine
“We had each other. That’s how we won.” – Lando
“A Jedi’s weapon deserves more respect.” – Luke
This part was AMAZING.
“It was fear that kept me here.” – Luke
“We’ve got friends out there. They’ll come if they know there’s hope.” – Poe
“Long have I waited…for my grandchild to come home.” – Emperor Palpatine
“They’re not a Navy. They’re just…people.”
“Be with me.” – Rey
“Rey… Skywalker.” – Rey
And then I cried for like 20 more minutes.
