For my family, Forky was the stand out character of Toy Story 4. My 6 year old daughter especially absolutely loves him. So when we found out that a collection of Forky shorts, called Forky Asks A Question, were coming to Disney+ we were thrilled. I had to honor of getting to screen two episodes before launch, and now we are looking forward to the other shorts even more.
My whole family sat down to watch the two Forky Asks A Question shorts, and it was some of the best bonding time I have had in a while. Each short is only 3 minutes, so it was a quick watch. However, these are shorts that I know we will watch time and time again once Disney+ launches.
What Is Money?
The first Forky short we watched is called What Is Money, and it is super cute. It features Forky and my personal favorite Toy Story character, Hamm! Watching the interaction between these two was hilarious because Hamm is so serious and Forky is… well… not. This short is the perfect opening to an adorable collection of shorts that any Forky fan is sure to love.
What Is A Friend?
I was only given two episodes to screen, but What Is A Friend was by far my favorite. If the series continues on like this one, it will be something I watch again and again. “What? No!” might be one of my all time favorite Toy Story lines now. And the way Tony Hale, AKA Forky, delivers it is pure perfection. I refuse to give spoilers but get ready to laugh until you cry at the end of this one! We have already watched it 5 times — and yes, we still laugh at the end!
Forks Asks A Question is definitely geared towards young kids who LOVE Forky! It is a silly show where his questions only sort of get answered. It isn’t anything brilliant, but it is more than entertaining. One of the first things that we click on November 12th will be Forky Asks A Question.
