Christmas is one of my most favorite times of the year. It seems like everyone, for the most part, is in a good mood and everything just feels jolly. One of the many reasons I love the new Disney+ movie Noelle, is because Anna Kendrick’s character seems to love Christmas just as much as I do in it! Throughout the film, there are many Christmas puns. Most of which I plan to use over and over!
“Oh my Garland!”
I admit I have been using this saying multiple times a day since I first saw the movie. And I don’t plan on stopping any time soon. This line is said many times in Noelle, and it didn’t get old at all. In fact, I think it got funnier and funnier.
“Hold Your Reindeer!”
Instead of hold your horses. Get it? Nick uses this when Noelle is explaining something to him that he doesn’t understand.
“Silent Night!”
When trying to get the room to be quiet, the elder elf says “Silent Night” and I could not stop giggling. It was the perfect use of a Christmas song title.
“Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen.”
This line was also used to calm down the North Pole residents, and it was just as funny.
“Yule Love Our Prices!”
Now this is a sign I saw on a building in the North Pole — it wasn’t actually spoken. Still extremely clever. And yes, it made me chuckle.
“Stocking Half Empty”
I am sure you have heard the line “glass half empty”. Well, instead of saying that, Noelle (Anna Kendrick) says stocking.
“I’m So Jolly You’re Here!”
This saying replaces a moment where we would say something like, I am so happy you’re here.
Do you have any favorite Christmas puns to share with me?
