Jurassic World The Ride Review

I remember going to Universal Studios Hollywood as a child with my family, and my favorite ride was the Jurassic Park ride. Well it recently got an overhaul, and is now titled Jurassic World – The Ride, and WOW has it really blown my mind! I thought for sure that it would lose the nostalgia I had for it and that I would be upset at the changes, but I wasn’t. At all. It was probably the best ride overhaul I have ever experienced!

I knew that some things would be different — that most things would be different. But I cannot get over just how amazing it all looked! This ride had a complete overhaul, and I loved every second of it! In fact, I couldn’t help but think about how badly I wanted to take my family to come and experience it! I just know they would all love it, especially my daughters. They still haven’t seen Wizarding World yet!

You Will Get Wet!

I cannot stress this enough. You WILL get wet! As you can see in the video of my time on the ride below, the final splash might not be as bad as you would think. But be warned, that is not the only time you get splashed. I don’t want to ruin the surprise but you will get wet. And it will come without warning. More than once. I was sitting on the end and the water went up over the boat at one point and soaked me! But at least it is hot in California and I dried fairly quickly.

You Will See Chris Pratt!

I can’t tell you how many messages I got from people asking if Chris Pratt is featured in the new Jurassic World – The Ride. The answer is yes, you will see him! And boy does he look cute as ever when you do. Fans will be thrilled to see him play his role as Owen! I couldn’t help but smile when I saw him. Now if only he was there in person… I am sure he has nothing better to do. Right?

Overall Thoughts

I absolutely loved this ride! If you are a fan of the movies, there are plenty of nods throughout your journey. I do recommend bringing a poncho. Believe me, I did not want to wear the one that my friend brought with her for me, but I am so glad that I did! I also highly recommend getting yourself a Universal Studios Express Pass. This saved us so much time and allowed us to do the whole park in about 3 hours! That is impressive if you ask me!
