My Top 10 Movies of 2018 (Plus Some Honorable Mentions)

2018 is coming to an end and it was a fantastic year for movies! 2019 looks like it will be just as good – if not better. As we close out the year, I wanted to share with you all my top 10 movies of 2018 (plus some honorable mentions). Now, I didn’t see every movie I was hoping to this year, but I saw a good amount. Let me know your favorites of the year too!

Avengers: Infinity War

It should come as no surprise to you that this is my favorite movie of 2018. Not only as a Marvel fan, but as a movie fan. To have that many main characters and keep the audience’s attention is really hard. We saw all of our favorite Marvel characters join forces to take on Thanos. I have seen this movie at least 30 times this year and I still love it. And I still cry like a baby. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is easily one of the greatest animated films in history. True, it is so hard to compare it to other styles, because it is all it’s own. This movie is good for so many reasons and a must see!! It is still in theaters, so go ahead and watch it. You won’t regret it. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is available for pre-order!

Black Panther

Black Panther gave me all sorts of feelings. I love this movie. It was so well made and Killmonger is easily one of the best villains in the MCU. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

Ant-Man and The Wasp

This movie totally blew me away. I love Paul Rudd and he was great as Ant-Man (again). This movie was hilarious, but also heart warming – and I totally fell in love with Ghost. If you missed it, I was at the press event and interviewed most of the cast! Plus, that mid-credit (and end credit) scene! This is a MUST watch! Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

Overlord

I love creepy, gorey, horror movies with a twist – and that is exactly what I got with Overlord. You can’t go wrong with J.J. Abrams! Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

Isle of Dogs

Isle of Dogs was so much fun for my whole family! We all loved this movie. I mean, Wes Anderson is brilliant. Something I really liked about this movie was that my girls could both enjoy it, even though they are just 5 and 7. There was nothing too bad in it, so it is a family film that EVERYONE will love! Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

Ready Player One

Ready Player One is filled with so many amazing references for geeks. The whole movie was so great – the plot, the acting, and well – the whole thing. If you are a nerd like me, you need to see it. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

A Quiet Place

A Quiet Place is super creepy. I spent the entire movie on the edge of my seat, and loved every single second of it. Available on digital, blu-ray, and DVD.

Ralph Breaks The Internet

Ralph Breaks The Internet is one of the best sequels I have ever seen. It brings so much heart, and at the same time is hilarious. I went to LA for the press event and was able to attend the premiere. If you haven’t already, you should check out that coverage, along with a full review.

Mary Poppins Returns

Mary Poppins Returns was simply magical in every single way. What a phenominal movie. The soundtrack was amazing, and I have had it on repeat since coming back from seeing it. Mary Poppins Returns is still in theaters, so don’t miss out!
