My daughters love to use their imaginations and pretend they are all sorts of things. I love to encourage them with as many different tools as I can and so when I heard about Bramble Box, I just knew it was something that I needed them to try out. Bramble Box is a subscription box service for pretend play props for children. Not only is it a small, family run business, but their boxes are jam packed full of fun and learning to promote hours and hours of play!
Pretend play has a ton of benefits for kiddos, including:
- Strengthening reading, math and motor skills
- Inspiring creative thought
- Building confidence
- Problem solving
- Acquiring new concepts
- Exploring new roles
- Connecting with the world around them
Each themed box supports a variety of role playing opportunities, through use of versatile, open-ended materials that provide hours of creative, imaginative pretend play. Contents include themed pretend play props, crafts, activities and more! These pretend play prop boxes are designed to encourage kids to step into a make-believe world while building skills in essential development areas, including social and emotional, language, problem solving and gross and fine motor skills. Bramble Box even goes a step further by using 100% recycled mailers and biodegradable or recyclable materials within their internal packaging.
My 4 year has been really into magic lately and so she was thrilled to see her box was Wizard themed! She was given lots of stickers and the tools to create her own magic wand, cape, and wizard hat! She was also given some some materials for a STEM experiment where she could make her own crystals. There was enough for her to do this lots of times and she has been having a blast with it! I think that a Bramble Box (or even a subscription to it) would make a great gift for any little girl or guy this holiday season! Subscribe here.
