 Potty Learning Package

My youngest daughter is really starting to be interested in the potty. She just turned 2 and so it seems a bit early – but this mama is thrilled! I am sure it is because she sees her sister going all the time and wants to as well. She even yells “me go potty, me go potty” and tugs at her diaper when she has to go – more often than not anyways. That is why I decided it was time to move away from diapers. She struggles at getting them off and sometimes ends up going in her diaper before I can go help her and get it off. I really want to encourage early potty learning with her, so I was excited to receive some Pampers Easy Ups!

Pampers Easy Ups

This is such an exciting time for us and I am thrilled to have Pampers along for the ride – a brand I trusted as a diaper, and can now trust in the next step. My 2 year old will be going to “preschool” two days a week starting in September – and while they allow diapers, wouldn’t it be awesome for her to be using the potty? I plan to really work with her on potty learning this summer. It is a commitment the whole family has made. My 3.5 year old keeps asking if she can share her panties with her sister – a cute idea, but no. Haha. It is good to know she is totally on board with her sister using the potty though! I know that “training pants” are the perfect transition from diaper to underwear. It will provide the underwear like design, but still be there to protect if she does have an accident (and keeps the mess away too). It was really important for me to be able to use these at night to prevent any setbacks.

I love Pampers Easy Ups because they have fewer leaks than other leading training pants and help simplify the overall process and experience. This is a time to celebrate and not be stressed out! They have an absorbant core that holds 25% more than other training pants as well. And with up to 12 hours of protection, it works during the day AND night, enabling toddlers and moms to confidently and completely transition from diapers towards underwear. They are super soft and comfortable for her. She has really sensitive skin and we have had no issues at all with these. Yay! My daughter is rocking it with the pee, we just have to tackle poop in the potty and we will be good to go! That is why I am super excited to read It’s You and Me against the Pee… and Poop too! with her. I just know it will help her understand that poop is OK to do on the potty!

The Little Looster Step Stool and Potty Ring pair perfectly in helping my daughter learn to go on the potty. My 3.5 year old loves the stool as well because she is rather short and has a hard time getting up on the potty sometimes. The Potty Ring makes the large toilet seem less daunting to my little ones – and it hangs on the included hanger for easy storage as well. These are definitely two must haves while potty learning!

Please join @Pampers on April 21st from 9-10pm EST as they host a Twitter Party with Dr. Laura Jana, pediatrician, award-winning parenting book author and potty training expert who co-authored to Its You and Me Against the Pee…and the Poop, Too! RSVP here: I will be there, will you?!

  1. I am currently working on potty training my son, he is harder than my girls were. I like to go cold turkey, underwear that is what seems to work best.
  2. Marnie G (Derrick Todd) on
Girls always seem to be so much easier. I'm not sure if it just seems that way or if there is any science behind it.
  3. I use stickers as rewards. I entered this giveaway--
  4. My friend used a cheerio in the toilet to potty train her boys and it worked great. I thought that was a super tip.
  5. Pamela Gurganus on
I know it's cliché, but it's the best tip I've ever been given and have given...BE PATIENT! Stay positive and motivating, but don't push too hard. It'll happen!
  6. I learned you couldn't rush them to do it.....just encourage...I always had books so they could look at books while trying
  7. Boon SUDS Bottle Washer favorite baby shower thing of the day, the form accidentally copied something else in there.
  8. It's been 8ish years since I've potty trained a toddler, and I'm getting ready to start again with my 19 month old! I'm nervous because my 9 year old didn't train easily, and I don't remember anything that did help her.
