I am sure you guys know how much I love video games by now. And I also love zombies. So the fact that zombies and minecraft have come together in this amazingly awesome book, Trouble in Zombie-town: The Mystery of Herobrine, An Unofficial Minecrafter’s Adventure, made me very happy. This book was so much fun to read. It is the fourth in the Gameknight999 series (which I am ashames to say I had never heard of) and I plan to purchase the other 3 books really soon. Like, they-are-sitting-in-my-Amazon-Cart-right-now-soon. This book was not only an easy read and entertaining – but it has great values as well. A lot of messaging in it is about anti-bullying, which I think is a huge issue right now.
Trouble in Zombie-town: The Mystery of Herobrine, An Unofficial Minecrafter’s Adventure is the fourth book in the hugely popular Gameknight999 series but the first in the The History of Herobrine arc. While many favorite characters are back, they will be embarking on different exciting adventures and meeting brand new friends and foes. Skyhorse Publishing’s Minecraft books have attracted many reluctant readers to the printed page. The stories also carry strong anti-bullying messages, a hot-topic issue that has exploded in the last few years and garnered support from numerous celebrities for global campaigns such as “It Gets Better,” “The New F Word,” and “STOMP Out Bullying.” The next installment in this series will be released this month.
Gameknight999 was sucked into the world of Minecraft when one of his father’s inventions went haywire. Trapped inside the game, the former griefer learned the error of his ways. He transformed into a heroic warrior and defeated powerful endermen, ghasts, and dragons to save the world of Minecraft and his NPC friends that live in it. Gameknight swore that he’d never go inside Minecraft again. But when his little sister, Monet113, accidentally enters the game herself, the User-that-is-not-a-user has no choice but to return to a digital world where very real danger lies around every corner. With the help of some old friends such as Crafter, Hunter, and Stitcher, as well as a few unexpected new ones, Gameknight will journey deep into a zombie village and face Xa-Tul, the powerful zombie king crafted by a shadowy figure with bright glowing eyes and a hatred for Gameknight999. To save his sister, Gameknight will have to learn a few new tricks if he has any chance of defeating this monstrous creature.
