The Peanuts Gang – Charlie Brown, Lucy, Snoopy, Woodstock – they are iconic. Just last night, for family movie night, we watched the Charlie Brown Thanksgiving. I own all of the Peanuts Holiday films. It just would not be the same without them! I remember watching them when I was younger and I love that I can now pass them on to my girls. We recently received three Peanuts books and they have quickly become a favorite of my ours! Each book focuses on people in history that every child should know about – Great Inventors, Great Explorers, and Great Heroes!
Great Inventors: What’s The Big Idea, Charlie Brown? teaches children about, you guessed it, the great inventors in history! From Alexander Graham Bell to Orville Wright – your child will enjoy learning all about these inventors and their inventions! The story itself is classic Peanuts and very entertaining! My girls love it!
In the Great Explorers: Where Did You Go, Charlie Brown? book, we take trip with Charlie Brown as he goes on a misadventure! My girls learned about Christopher Columbus (which my 3 year already had a little bit in school!), Amelia Earhart, and more. Another fun story with the Peanuts gang and a great read for your little ones!
In Great Heroes: Who Cares, Charlie Brown? we learn about the heroes of America’s past. Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang learn all about some great people in the past that stood up for what they knew was right. In the end, he comes out knowing that it is not if you win or lose, it is how you play the game. What a great lesson to teach our young ones about! Some of the heroes discussed are Rosa Parks and Lewis Hine.
Overall, I highly recommend these Peanuts books. They are sure to be classics, just the Peanuts gang. They all have great lessons hidden in them, through all the fun and adventure.
