Upcycled Dictionary Art Print by EcoCyled Review
& HUGE Giveaway!

As you all know, I am a huge fan of the environment. Anything we can do to make it a better place is alright in my book (no pun intended here guys!). So, upcycling anything, especially old books, is a really cool concept to me! When I came across EcoCycled on Etsy, I thought what they do is unique and quite frankly, pretty darn awesome. As I have stated before, I love wall art – I love decorating. I contacted EcoCycled and they offered me a print – any print I wanted – to review as well as an amazing giveaway – but we will get to that a little later. It look me a little while to decide. I loved the Cat in the Hat prints because I knew exactly where I would put them (my girls have a little reading corner/area and it was a little bare for my liking). But, the Geek in me was being pulled to the Star Wars (did you know hubby and I went to Star Wars Weekend at Disney World for our honeymoon and MET Jeremy Bulloch – Boba Fett!!) and Harry Potter prints.. I ultimately sided with my love for my girls and chose an adorable Cat in the Hat print with a quote about reading – “You can find magic wherever you look. Sit back and relax, all you need is a book. Dr. Seuss”.
I absolutely love what EcoCylced stands for. I love that they take old, left behind books and turn them in to something new and fun. When you choose a print, you can then choose from so many different books to get it printed on – different dictionaries, sheet music, Alice In Wonderland, Gone With The Wind, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Joy of Cooking, and even different Bibles. EcoCycled provided me with a detailed list of each size and suggested frame for every.single.option! That was so helpful and professional of them. I could tell that they strive for customers to be happy with their choice! I went with Webster’s Encyclopedic Unabridged Dictionary of the English Language which measures 8.5 x 10.94.
When I received my print, I pulled out an old 8 x 10 frame I had. I debated trimming up the sides of the print, but it was just too beautiful that I did not want to mess with it. I picked up a diploma frame measuring 8.5 x 11 and the print fit perfectly. I had the spot in mind when I ordered it and I could not wait to get it there. I set it up in the girls’ reading corner where they have a rocking chair, bench, and a bookshelf that their daddy built. We also have a Dr. Seuss clock hanging on the wall there. After baths we usually sit and read a book or two there before bed. I sure am going to miss that time as they grow older…. The only thing that would make this corner more perfect would be hanging this set of Dr. Seuss One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish prints on the wall.
You can connect with EcoCycled on Facebook and Pinterest, as well as at their website and their Etsy shop! You can also reach them at EcoCycled@gmail.com. And guess what? They are sponsoring a giveaway for not one, not two, but THREE prints of the winner’s choice! No custom from scratch prints but prints with custom names/dates are fine – there is an ADORABLE Nightmare Before Christmas one here! And trust me, there is so much to choose from, that will not be an issue! These would be perfect to decorate a nursery, kids room, dining room, living room, reading nook… well… anything!
