I love to cook but I need inspiration. I am the type that needs a recipe to follow and have a hard time coming up with stuff myself. These four new cookbooks have been a life saver for me. If you are looking for some unique and delicious recipes, check them out.
Power to the picky! When we were young, we wore our pickiness like a badge – eat a sandwich with crust still on? Forget it! – but as adults, we sometimes lower our standards in the name of nutrition. Take protein powder – people often choke down gritty, bad tasting protein powder in their smoothies just because it’s “good for you.” Unlike other protein powders that can contain questionable ingredients and be gritty, chalky and, frankly, hard to choke down because they just don’t taste good, Orgain protein powders are not only packed with the most nutritious, highest quality organic ingredients but are also delicious.

Bootler is an online aggregation service for delivery food, or a search engine for delivery food. If you’d like, watch this 30 second YouTube Video to see how it works. But basically, they work with over 6 different delivery services allowing users to pick a restaurant and compare prices, availability and delivery time saving their users time and money. They are not the delivery company. They only bring together other delivery companies and then redirect you to their website. Basically, Kayak.com for flights… you book the flight through Kayak, but you fly with American Airlines.
One of my favorite things about fall is the leaves changing color and the cool breeze coming in. However, all that being said, I don’t like to be cold. So there is nothing better than a hot cup of coffee and blanket while I watch the fall scenery from my front porch. Let’s face it, there are some flavors that are better than ever when it comes to the fall season. One of those is, of course, Pumpkin! And what goes better with pumpkin than marshmallow? I say nothing! Well, we are all in luck because Java Factory Roasters has an amazing pumpkin coffee that you need this fall season – and it is called Trick and Treat.

I am a huge fan of coffee. Being a mom of two little girls that are pretty strong willed means that I value my coffee. I love all blends and roasts – from light to bold – from flavored to natural – and Brooklyn Bean Roastery has it all. One of my favorite roasts is boardwalk blend. It is the perfect blend for those early school mornings – and I highly recommend it. The Boardwalk combines the best of both worlds: a peaceful view of the sea in front of you, and the shimmering lights of the city behind you. Boardwalk Blend is a smooth, medium roast, but it’s still packed with extra bold flavor. Whether you’re in the mood for a quiet stroll or a sightseeing adventure, Boardwalk Blend will rise to the occasion.
As a new school year begins, parents everywhere are jumping back into the crazy back-to-school transition. Orgain has some organic and vegetarian protein-packed products for the whole family, students heading off to college, and moms looking for a great way to make sure their kids have proper nourishment to get them through the day.
I am quite the coffee drinker. I stay home with two little girls and well, I can’t seem to get through my day without at least 3 or 4 cups. My oldest started Kindergarten this year meaning that she is in school all day long, leaving me alone with the little one. And thanks to back to school time, I am needing even more coffee to get through my day. One of my favorite coffee companies is Brooklyn Bean Roastery because they have a wide variety of delicious coffees. I have been known to put a spoon full of cinnamon in my cups of coffee before and because of this, I love Cinnamon Subway!
Let’s face it, moms are busy. Especially when back to school time hits. My 5 year old will be starting Kindergarten in just a couple of weeks and I know that my nights and mornings are going to be filled with making sure homework is done, packing up her backpack, finding the perfect show and tell items, and packing lunches. On top of all of this, I still need to find time to spend with my 3 year old, my husband, the dog, and still get work done around the house (not to mention keeping up with my website)! Thank God for Nature’s Harvest® Bread and Entenmann’s® Little Bites™ Snacks because I know that no matter what, her lunch will be fun, healthy, and easy to make with them.
As most of you know, I am a huge gamer. Ever since I was a little girl and I got my first gaming console, I have been hooked! I don’t discriminate – from board games, to consoles, to mobile – I love all forms of gaming! One of my favorite games to play is Skylanders, so of course when they launched Skylanders® Battlecast in May, I downloaded it right away. Skylanders Battlecast is the latest mobile game in the Skylanders franchise – and it is so much fun! I personally enjoy the single player campaign, but there is an online multiplayer option as well. In this mobile trading card game, you collect both digital and physical Skylanders Battlecast cards to build the ultimate team and bring them to life in epic online battles! Simply scan physical character cards with a mobile device camera to add them to your in-game deck.
As most of you know, I have two young children – ages 3 and 5. This year, my oldest will be off to school full time, while my youngest will be starting half days at a local center to get her ready for Preschool. I have been stressing already about this decision. It is going to be strange without any kids in the house for a few hours in the morning – and one that will not be home until after 3pm! On top of my emotional breakdown, I am also dealing with the stress of things that I have to get done to ready for back to school time. The list of things to do to prepare can be totally overwhelming – but I still want to find time for fun with my family.
Kids love noodles. Delicious and oh so fun to eat – they are simply one of kids’ most favorite foods. So it seems crazy that they haven’t been available in a healthy, convenient, kid-friendly/mom-approved meal to pack in kids’ lunches until now, doesn’t it? The two moms on a mission to transform the way America eats at Revolution Foods have taken what they’ve learned from serving 1.5 million healthy school meals per week to 200,000 students and brought it to the lunch box with new In a Cup, in a convenient, healthy, high protein, clean label noodle meal.
