Make it a family movie night with the beloved blue creatures in the fully animated, all-new take on The Smurfs when Sony Pictures Animation’s SMURFS: THE LOST VILLAGE debuts on 4K Ultra HD™/Blu-ray™ + Digital, Blu-ray + Digital and DVD July 11 from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment. I grew up watching the Smurfs and so did my husband – so this was a movie we knew we wanted to share with our daughters. We have really enjoyed the past Smurfs movies, and this one did not disappoint either.
I grew up watching Tom and Jerry – and have since shared my love for them with my daughters. My girls are 4 and 6 and some of the biggest Tom and Jerry fans out there. I was shocked to see them sit and watch the old cartoons for hours. I mean, they would watch episode after episode. It surprised me mostly because in many of them (maybe all?), Tom and Jerry don’t talk, which I figured might be a little boring for younger kids.
I want to preface this review by saying that I enjoyed both Toby McGuire and Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man. Loved them even. As you likely know by now if you come here regularly, I am a giant Marvel Comics fan. That means that at times, I can be picky about the movies that bring my favorite characters to life. I will be honest, I went in to Spider-Man: Homecoming not knowing what to expect. But I was blown away by it. Dare I say it was my favorite Spider-Man movie to date? I do.
I’ve teamed up with Mrs. Kathy King to celebrate the theatrical release of Sony Pictures & Marvel new film SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING – In Theaters NOW. We are giving our fans 3 different ways to win 1 of 10 Spider-Man: Homecoming gift packs that includes a Tee shirt, movie poster and more.
I have said it many times but one of my favorite things to do with my family is curl up and watch a movie. At least once a week we have family movie night where we make popcorn, squish together on the couch, and put on a family friendly film. It is a tradition I hope to carry on for many years. My girls are currently still pretty young, 4 and 6, so we need to find movies that are appropriate for their age. We found that in A Stork’s Journey!
Everyone’s favorite friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is swinging in to theaters soon. Spider-Man: Homecoming stars Tom Holland as Spider-Man and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. In order to help celebrate, The Hopping Bloggers have come together to give one lucky winner an awesome prize pack!
One of my favorite movies is Bad Moms. I went to see it in theaters with a bunch of my girlfriends, as I think every mom should. We laughed, we cried, and we loved it. When it came out on Blu-ray, I of course, picked it up. My husband and I watched it together and he really enjoyed it as well. It was just something that as parents, we could relate to. So when I heard that there was going to be a second one, I was thrilled. Today, the A Bad Moms Christmas trailer was released and it exceeded all of my expectations.
My oldest daughter is big in to trading card games and she is only (almost) 6 years old. Because of this, Yu-Gi-Oh has quickly become one of her favorite shows to watch. She has quite the collection of cards and is actually really good at the game. There is nothing like getting to watch your favorite characters and creatures come to life on the TV though. That is why she was super thrilled to get an advance copy of Yu-Gi-Oh: The Dark Side of Dimensions – available now on Digital HD and coming home on Blu-ray June 27th.
One of my favorite shows when I was younger was Power Rangers. I may or may not have played Power Rangers with my friends and family every chance I got. I even recall being glued to the TV and crying during certain episodes. Now that I have kids of my own, I am excited that there are Power Rangers shows for them. Because of this my whole family was really excited to see Saban’s Power Rangers when it came out. My daughter and 4 and 6, so we decided to watch it with only the 6 year old, and it was a hit!
Everyone loves the Minions! My family sure does. We first met them in Despicable Me and now they will appear in Despicable Me 3! We cannot wait to see what laughs they bring this time. This third installment of Despicable Me is highly anticipated by many minions fans. To help celebrate the release of Despicable Me 3 The Hopping Bloggers have put together an awesome prize pack for one lucky reader! This package is worth over $100.
We are Disney fanatics in our home and have really been looking forward to see Cars 3. On opening weekend, we decided to go see it, and are very glad we did. My husband and I really enjoyed the movie and thought it shared a great lesson for kids and society in general. However, our girls were maybe a tad young (and tired) for it – they are 4 and (just turning) 6. I do think this is still a must see movie, but for the younger kids, perhaps waiting until it is on DVD and Disney Movies Anywhere is best.
My husband and I rarely get a date night so we are very particular about the movies we choose to see in the theaters. The House, which stars Will Ferrell and Amy Poehler, is one of those movies. From the first time we saw the trailer we knew this was a “must see in theaters” type of movie. It looks hilarious and right up our alley, not to mention the entire cast is filled with our favorite actors.
Transformers is a franchise that has been around for generations and will continue to do so. Many parents grew up watching it and now share it with their children. The latest movie is just about to hit theaters! To help celebrate the release of Transformers: The Last Knight The Hopping Bloggers have put together an awesome prize pack for one lucky reader!
As I am sure many of you know by now, I am a HUGE Marvel fanatic. I collect the comic books, I collect the toys, I collect the movies – and I even have a few Marvel related tattoos. So I was thrilled to hear today that Sony Music announced the release of SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack) featuring the music of Grammy® and Academy Award®-winning composer Michael Giacchino. The soundtrack will be released on July 7 and is available for pre-order here.
We are a family that loves to play games. In fact, many nights and days are spent around the dining room table playing board games. Playing games as a family at least a few times a week is something that I grew up doing and feel is very important to continue with my daughters. The Smiths are also huge fans of the Despicable Me and Minions movies. My girls flip over the little yellow guys, and my husband and I enjoy the fact that this a franchise we laugh at while watching too. Hasbro has recently released some Despicable Me 3 themed games in celebration of the new movie which hits theaters later this month!
