I love playing with my Nintendo DS so I was really excited to test out the new game, Miitopia. I had watched the trailer video for this game many times and already had it on my wish list. When it arrived I asked my mom to open it up right away. I then played it non-stop for about two days. It was all I could think about! This game is so much fun and I know any kid will love it!
We area gaming family. At least three or four times a week we all sit down together and play a board game. Don’t get me wrong, we love playing our video games together, but sometimes a good board game can bring you close together. I remember playing games with my mom and sister all the time growing up, and they are some of my fondest memories. I hope to create that for my girls. One of our favorite gaming companies is RoosterFin. They have a long list of fun family games – many of which we own. Our newest favorite is Wizard Roll.
Summer is in full swing, and what better way to spend the last few weeks than playing video games with your family? My husband and I both have Nintendo 3DS’ and my daughters have Nintendo 2DS’. I cannot even explain how much I enjoy a lazy Sunday with the 4 of us lounging around the house playing video games together. We like to race in Mario Kart – and of course Quick Link Battle in Pokemon Sun and Moon. We also help each other fill our Pokedexes by trading rare Pokemon to each other. Because I love these systems so much, I want to tell you about a couple fun and exciting new releases!
We are a family of gamers. We have a Playstation 4, Wii U, Nintendo Switch, and 4 Nintendo DS Systems. There have been so many great games in 2017 so far, and it isn’t even half over! I sat my girls down and we talked about what our favorites are – so here is our list!
One of our favorite things to do together as a family is play games. We try to have a family game night at least once a week, but sometimes more. In the summer, I spend a lot of days just playing games with the girls. Yes, like the whole day. It is so much fun and great family bonding time. My mother and niece were visiting this summer for a few weeks, and we spent a lot of time checking out some new games. These few really stood out as great family games. So if you are looking to add some to your collection, check these out!
We are huge Disney fans in this family. So anything that has to do with Disney, we are all about it. Cars 3 just recently came to theaters – and we saw it opening weekend. It is definitely a movie that we will be picking up when it hits DVD and Blu-ray. Dare I say that it is my favorite of the Cars series? I think so! Naturally we were all thrilled when Spin Master Games sent us Cars 3 Thunder Hollow Mud Madness. We just could not wait to play it!
t should come as no surprise to you to hear that I am big into mobile gaming. I have been gaming since I was a little girl and still do every chance I get. In fact, I am raising my daughters to be little gamers themselves. They are 4 and 5 right now and ask to play games every night. We recently got a Samsung Galaxy Tab A preloaded with a mobile game that wasn’t even out yet (until today!) – Snoopy Pop! To say they were excited to try it out is an understatement.
I remember playing Castlevania when I was younger. It was always one of my favorite games (and still is). Because of this I am really excited about the Netflix Original Series, Castlevania. It hits Netflix on July 7th and I will be watching it for sure! On the same day, the soundtrack will be released from Lakeshore Records. I was lucky enough to check this out ahead of time and it has me even more excited for the series to be out!
You should know that I am a huge gamer. We have the Nintendo Switch, a Playstation 4, an XBOX 360, and even a (few) Nintendo DS in our house. But sometimes I just can’t help but pull out my phone and get some good mobile gaming action in. There are a few games that are basically on my mind constantly right now. If I get a free moment, no matter where I am or what I am doing, I pull out my phone and get to gaming. I have decided I cannot live without them and I need to tell others about how amazing they are – so here we go.
ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD! Jam City, via its game studio TinyCo, and FoxNext Games announced that their mobile game Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow is available TODAY on the App Store and Google Play. TinyCo has released two new animated trailers alongside the game, one of which reveals the game’s all-new story created by Matt Groening, David X. Cohen, and the FUTURAMA writers. This story sets the stage for a galactic adventure that will take players across the universe in search of ancient alien artifacts to restore the fabric of spacetime after it is transformed by one of the universe’s most recognizable yet enigmatic creatures: the Hypnotoad.
My daughters are big gamers, just like their mama. They have a tablet that my husband and I have filled with great games for their age that they share. The newest game we downloaded is Noddy Toyland Detective. This app is based on a show that they watch on Netflix all the time. It is one of their favorites so you can imagine how excited they were to see a game where they could play as Noddy and solve cases! They couldn’t believe they could meet characters from the TV show including Bumpy Dog, Revs, Pat-Pat and the Panda Pockets, Fuse, the Naughticorns! This game quickly became one of my favorites too.
We are a family that loves to play games. In fact, many nights and days are spent around the dining room table playing board games. Playing games as a family at least a few times a week is something that I grew up doing and feel is very important to continue with my daughters. The Smiths are also huge fans of the Despicable Me and Minions movies. My girls flip over the little yellow guys, and my husband and I enjoy the fact that this a franchise we laugh at while watching too. Hasbro has recently released some Despicable Me 3 themed games in celebration of the new movie which hits theaters later this month!
In a world where good deeds and kindness are happening less and less often, it is more important than ever to teach our kids about giving back. Now, thanks to The Good Cards, I have an easy way to do this for my girls that they will find fun and exciting. The Good Cards is a real life game powered by a mobile app that is simple to use. This game is sure to have the whole world doing good deeds and helping each other out in no time.
In case you haven’t picked up on it yet, the Smiths are huge gamers. Even my daughters love video games. One that we have been spending a lot of time playing lately is LEGO Dimensions. I know I am probably late to the party here, but we have been having so much fun with this game! We have pretty busy schedules during the school year and have finally been able to fit in some family game playing time as the year dies down. It is not an exaggeration when I say this game gets played every day.
One of my favorite things to do to pass the time is gaming. We have just about every video game system out there – even a few tablets that are dedicated to mobile gaming. My daughters are only 4 and 5 but we play a lot of games on there together. They have even started being able to play some games by themselves. One of our new favorites is Poptropica Worlds, and I think all families will love it!
