Free Comic Book Day 2019: Full List of Available Comics!

If you don’t know that I am a huge comic book nerd by now, you probably never will. My favorite day of the year is coming – FREE COMIC BOOK DAY 2019! Now every store runs this amazingly geeky day differently. I have been to stores where they allow people to take one of each comic if they wish, but most limit you to one from the “gold” section and one or two from the “silver” section. Depending on the year this can be a tough decision. In fact, it usually is (especially for me) because often the main story lines tie in to things that came out during Free Comic Book Day.

The Questioneers Book 2: Ada Twist and the Perilous Pants

My daughters love to read – especially my 7 year old. She is also always asking questions, and wanting to learn. That is why The Questioneers are such great books for her. She loved the Rosie Revere one, and has actually read it several times. So when I told her there was another one coming out AND that we were getting a copy of it, she was over the moon! She started reading Ada Twist immediately, and finished it in just two days.

DC Super Sons: The Polarshield Project is a Super Fun Ride

If you truly know me, you know I love comics books. Yes, I prefer Marvel, but I love me some DC too. I mean, my daughter is named Ivy after Poison Ivy for a reason. I have to admit, about 5 pages in to the new graphic novel DC Super Sons: The Polarshield Project, I was hooked. There was no way I could put it down without knowing what happened next. And a couple hours later I was finished with it. The story sucked me right in, and remained compelling throughout. This comic took me on a super ride, and I passed it right on to my oldest daughter to check it out.

Everything You Need To Know About Artemis Fowl

Artemis Fowl is a (really good) book series that Walt Disney Studios is adapting for the big screen. When I first heard this news, I was super excited. There are 8 Artemis Fowl books and I read most of them back in high school. I am now in the middle of re-reading them to hype myself up for this film. It hits theaters this August and I cannot wait to take my family to go see it. If you know nothing about this boy genius, you have come to the right place – because I am about to tell you all you need to know about Artemis Fowl.

5 Reasons I Love Kelly Thompson’s Captain Marvel #1 | #CaptainMarvel

As you likely already know, Carol Danvers has been one of my favorite characters in Marvel comics for a very long time. And even though I did NOT agree with her stance in Civil War II, I still love her.  The Life of Captain Marvel comic run just ended and dropped a couple major bombs. Carol has been through a lot lately, and has learned things that will effect her for a very long time to come. Captain Marvel #1 just came out this week, and picked up her story right where it left off. I read this comic through 5 times yesterday because it is THAT good. And here is why.

5 Comic Books You Need to Read Before Seeing Captain Marvel

I have told you before I am sure, but Carol Danvers has been one of my favorite Marvel ladies for a long time. Back when she was Ms. Marvel, she was amazing, and I was hooked on her story lines. And then she became Captain Marvel, which was insanely cool. She is a total badass. Super strong. She can take down Iron Man guys. And HARD! With the Captain Marvel movie hitting theaters this March, all fans should be familiar with some story lines. Here are the five comic books that I recommend reading before you go see Captain Marvel.
