Snicky Snaks, and a Benny Bully‘s sample treat! Let;s break them down and I will let you know what I thought about each item!

Zuke’s Superfood Treats
These treats are the perfect size for my Khaleesi! She loves them! And I love that they contain fruits & vegetables, are high in wholefood-derived antioxidants, and low in gluten! Zuke’s Treats contain superfood oats that safe for dogs with gluten allergies. That is not my pup, but I know many dogs suffer from gluten allergies.

The Barkery Pumpkin Cookies
These pumpkin cookies were the perfect Halloween treat for Khaleesi! My girls thought it was really fun to feed them to her! They really look like little pumpkins. These were gone in just a few days because we all loved them so much!

Lampchop plush dog toy
Recently, Khaleesi won a HUGE lampchop plush toy from Paws & Play in an online giveaway. This was like a little baby to her big one! She loved it so much that, unfortunately, it was destroyed in about a week. She chewed it until there was nothing left. But at least she still has the mama lampchop!

Etta Says! Snicky Snaks and Benny Bully‘s sample treat
These sample treats were great. Khaleesi ate them right up with no issues. We have had lots of Etta Says! items before and Khaleesi always loves them. This was our first time trying Benny’s Bully’s, but it will not be our last!

September Paws & Play Subscription Box

September Paws & Play In Detail

Khaleesi loved everything in her September Paws & Play Box! Below are some details on what we received, how we liked them, and how you can purchase them. Check out the Paws and Play subscription box service because you know your fur baby deserves it!

Ethical Pets Hoots Plush Toy ($16.00 Value)

This Ethical Pets squeaker toy is, by far, Khaleesi’s favorite item in September’s box. She carries this little owl around with her everywhere. If it is not in her mouth, it sits waiting for her in her bed. She adores it. It is really good quality and is still put together pretty well considering how much she has been playing with it the last 3 weeks. This is a really good quality squeaker toy and I recommend for a little dog. Purchase yours here.

Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish Treats ($3.79 Value)

Khalessi really likes these! They are one of her favorite treats. She has several open bags of treats and she usually runs to where she knows these ones are. These are designed with a limited number of protein and carbs so that makes me happy! Pugs are notorious for getting overweight easily. Find out where you can purchase yours here.

Wild Callings Wet and Dry Food Samples

This food is great! Khaleesi enjoyed all of it. The wet food was a great treat for her as we rarely give it to her. The hard food was elk flavored, which I thought was pretty interesting and cool! Wild Callings food has over 55% wild meat, poultry and fish. 85% protein derived from animal nutriment. No chicken by-products, fillers, corn, wheat, soy, grain or gluten in Wild Calling lifecycle products. Purchase Wild Callings food here.

Van Ness Food Scoop ($2.00 Value)

The Van Ness 2-cup food scoop is just what we needed. Seriously. We were using a measuring scoop for Khaleesi’s food, so this has been so great to have! It is durable (yea, we have dropped it a few times) and works just as it needs to. See where you can purchase it here.

Moderndog Magazine ($4.00 Value)

This was a great magazine. I really enjoyed reading it and flipping through it. There is a lot about diet, wellness, exercise and just dogs in general! It is great for any dog owner or lover! Learn more about this magazine and subscribe here.

Mammoth Flossy Chew ($4.00 Value)

The Mammoth flossy chew has been a lot of fun! Khaleesi and I play tug of war with it all the time. This is another great quality item as it has stood up against her teething really well! It is the perfect size for a small dog – but they come in other sizes too! Mammoth also has other great dog toys, so check them out. Find out where you can purchase yours here.

Etta Says! Beef Liver Treat

Khaleesi loved this little treat. She scarfed it right down. I do not even think she tasted it! Etta Says! has lots of great dog snacks. We received a duck chew from them last month that Khaleesi loved as well! Purchase yours here.

Silverspur Bully Stick

Khaleesi LOVES bully sticks. It is one of the only ways to get her to calm down. If she gets a bully stick she will sit and chew it for hours. So, needless to say, she loved this one! It took her two days to get through it completely. What I loved about it is that it did not really smell, like most of them do. Check out Silverspur here.

There you have it! The full breakdown on my September Paws & Play Box. I am sure the October one will be on my doorstep any day – so watch for that. Stop by the Paws & Play website here and think about signing up! You will not regret it!

Paws & Play September Box

Paws & Play September Box: What’s In It?

So you all know that I have a little pug named Khaleesi – and you can probably all tell that she is one spoiled little girl! She gets more mail than me most days! She loves running around me while I open up her boxes. When we got the September Paws & Play box, it was no different. She was so excited!

In September’s Box we received so many goodies! There was a moderndog magazine that I cannot wait to read! For edible goodies we got some Natural Balance Sweet Potato and Fish Treats, Wild Callings wet and dry food samples, an Etta Says! Beef Liver Treat, and a Silverspur Bully Stick. The toys that came in our box were a Mammoth Flossy Chew and an Ethical Pets Hoots Plush Toy. The Hoots toy squeaks and is Khaleesi’s favorite thing in the world. And last but not least, we received a Van Ness food scoop. I am so glad we got this because we have been using a measuring cup to scoop dog food and this will be a lot better!

Well, I took an unboxing video as usual and somehow my phone ate it. I cannot find it. I am really sad because Khaleesi grabbed the Hoots toy right out of the box and ran away with it. It was adorable! In a couple weeks I will have a much more detailed post up, reviewing each item in depth, so watch for that! In the meantime, check out all that Paws & Play has to offer!

Paws & Play

August Box Review

My little pug girl, Khaleesi, was so excited to open up her Paws & Play box with me when it came! I think she could smell all of the amazing goodies inside! In this box we received a Zorb It Up! 2 Pack, a Greenies Dental Chew, a CharmingPet Squawkers – Grandma Hippie, a Bosco & Roxy’s Cookie, a Etta Says Duck Chew, & a Merrick Classic Food Sample.

Zorb It Up! 2 Pack (Retails $3)

With a little puppy, accidents are inevitable. Khaleesi is pretty good about going outside, but she is only 11 weeks old so she gets excited easily. And, honestly, sometimes I think she could care less and just pees wherever she wants. I used one of these Zorb It Up pads the second day we had them and they worked so well! It sucked up all her pee right away! I was really impressed with it and have since used the other one – and plan to purchase more!

Greenies Dental Chew (Retails $5)

Greenies Dental Chews are amazing! We used these for the dog we had before we got Khaleesi (R.I.P. Draco) and always loved them. Our vet in Florida recommended them, and our Vet here in New York does as well. They are a great way for your dog to clean its teeth. Khaleesi was a big fan of hers! Even though she has baby teeth still, I want to start the habit early – just like with my girls. Haha.

CharmingPet Squawkers – Grandma Hippie (Retails $9)

This is now one of Khaleesi’s favorite toys! She is always running around the house with it. She has blast playing with it with my daughters. They think it is hilarious when it squeaks. It seems pretty durable so far. Khaleesi can be rough with her toys and it has help up for about two weeks now under constant play. CharmingPet has lots of other cute toys as well, so check out their full product line on their website here.

Bosco & Roxy’s Cookie (Retails $4)

Right away I loved this company because as part of the logo, they featured a pug! I know Khaleesi appreciated that too. Paws & Play put it in a bag with her name and a heart written on it. I absolutely loved that. I had to break this cookie up in to 4 servings because she is so tiny, but she loved it! These are made with human grade ingredients which I find really cool and unique! She ate it right up every time. I loved the “Spaw Day” written on it. So cute, and perfect for my little diva!

Etta Says Duck Chew (Retails $3)

I keep hearing how dogs can choke on pure rawhide so that makes me really nervous about them. That is why this treat makes a great alternative. The Duck Chew that Khaleesi received is made from a mixture of rawhide and duck feet so it is much softer. I did spend a good amount of time inspecting and feeling this chew before giving it to Khaleesi and was satisfied. It is very soft and would be hard for her to choke on. She loved it! It took her a few days to get through it, but it was a favorite for sure!

Merrick Classic Food Sample

We also received this all natural food sample. It is made from local farmers and ranchers and she really loved it. She wolfed it down so I imagine it tasted great!

I love how personalized Paws & Play made everything! Writing Khaleesi’s name (with a heart) on her cookie bag really made me smile. I think it is important that companies value every customer, and I can tell that they do! Paws & Play has many variety of boxes! This particular one (the toy breed To-Go box) would cost $15.00 – and I received $24 worth of products! If you are in the US you will be charged a $3.95 shipping charge, which is not bad at all. Paws & Play currently ships to Canada and the U.S. and accepts Credit Card & Paypal Payments.

These boxes are a great deal and a fun way to pamper your fur baby! It is also a good way to learn about new products you would not normally know about.  Be sure to check Paws & Play out on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube so you can take advantage of any deals they have!

Check out the #unboxing video below to see how we reacted when we opened it!

Bright Starts “League of Little Laughers” Play Date | #BabyLOLL #BrightStarts #MomSelect

I have been a huge fan of Bright Starts for quite sometime now. Both of my girls have played with their toys since they were first born. They are always educational, even for a baby. They learn things like colors and numbers at such an early age by playing with Bright Starts toys. And most importantly, they make kids laugh. I have never seen my girls squeal and giggle as much as I have when they play with Bright Starts toys. It is so fun to watch them interact with each other while playing as well as see their own experiences with the toys individually. We recently had some friends and their young kids over to play with some of Bright Starts top toys for a League of Little Laughers Play Date! A lot of different things went in to this play date – and you can check them all out below so you can host your own! From toys to recipes, I have it all!

March Madness Pet Gift Box + Giveaway

Disclosure: Mama Smith’s Review Blog received this item in exchange for her honest review. All opinions expressed are 100% hers.

Pet Gift Box

Khaleesi is one spoiled dog, that is for sure. She loves getting her monthly subscription boxes. I swear she knows that when I grab a large box and my phone, she is getting a lot of new toys and treats. This month’s Pet Gift Box was a great one! The theme was March Mutt Madness – and as huge college basketball fans, we were happy to see that. Although Syracuse is our team so this year is no fun for us, we will still watch. Anyways, back to March 2015’s Pet Gift Box for dogs (they have them for cats too!).

Pet Gift Box            Pet Gift Box

Khaleesi & I loved everything in this box! There were toys, treats, and even some health items! As soon as I opened it up, she dug right in to explore her new things. The two toys that were included were both a hit! There was a plush basketball toy with a squeaker inside. This is from SPOT and she has been carrying it around with her ever since it arrived. My daughters love to play keep away with her and this basketball – which I do not think Khaleesi is a big fan of. Poor girl! The other toy that came in the March Mutt Madness box is a Pride Bites Hip Sneaker Toy. This toy is really fun and unique. I have never seen one like this. It is stylish, chew-worthy, and MACHINE WASHABLE! Woohoo!

Pet Gift Box                 Pet Gift Box

Next we come to the awesome treats that were included in the March Pet Gift Box. There was a Hoop Star Biscuit from The Bubba Rose Biscuit Co. – and Khaleesi ate it up right away. She was such a good girl during the unboxing video, that I gave it to her after we were done filming. The Muttz-Rrr-Ella Dental Chews are awesome! I love the idea of them – and Khaleesi loves the taste of them! They offer the best defense against dental decay and are a dual action chew – hard outside filled with cheese! We love Zuke’s, so I was really excited to see them included in this month’s box. We got some Zuke’s Power Bones which are nutrient rich, energy-packed, and of course, all natural. Also included in our box was some Licks Athlete – which is a maximum energy, muscle recovery supplement – perfect after a long afternoon of catch or a hike. I am really excited to try out the Fou-Stick Soothe. This stick will help soothe pups’ paws after a long workout! This soothing salve will make them soft again.

Overall, I am always a fan of Pet Gift Box subscription boxes. They include a card with all the items that were in the box and their values. So you know you are getting more than your money’s worth. The March Mutt Madness box that I received is valued at over $55! Which would have saved me $40+ had I purchased this box. Talk about a deal, right?! This is one of the best valued subscription boxes out there for pets – if not THE best! Subscribe at PetGiftBox.com and use the code Mamasmith for a FREE box (just pay $4.99 shipping & handling)!
