Be Our Guest Restaurant

You may already know that we are Disney Vacation Club members. We joined on our Disney Cruise in February 2017 – and I have no idea why we didn’t do it sooner. We vacation at Disney World at least twice a year, if not more. When you are 180 days out from your trip, you can make your dining reservations. There are several that we strive to get – and one of those is dinner at Be Our Guest. This is arguably one of the hardest reservations to make, and should always be this first one you shoot for. TIP: Try to book it for one of your last days vs. one of your first days for a better shot at it.

Be Our Guest

The Ambiance

Walking into Be Our Guest to eat is like walking right in to the cast from Beauty and the Beast, which is one of my all time favorite movies. I grew up watching it over and over – and have since watched it over and over with my daughters. I always connected with Belle, I think because I have always loved to read. When the live action version of the movie came out, we hosted a movie night under the stars and had a blast.

When you first walk in, there is a gorgeous stained glass window of Belle and Prince. This is a great place to pose for a photo. No matter where you are seated, you are allowed to walk around all the rooms in the castle and take photos. While doing this you can see the rose and the slashed up painting of the prince. You will also find many other great paintings that feature your favorite characters from the film.

The Food

I have eaten dinner at Be Our Guest five times now, and have tried several of the meals. I will say, however, the grilled strip steak is the best steak I have ever had. EVER. Either my husband or myself gets it every time. I actually had to force myself to order a different menu item in order to try something new. I am glad I did because I also fell in love with the pan-seared chicken breast and the roasted rack of lamb. You basically cannot go wrong at Be Our Guest.

For dessert, you have to try the grey stuff. It is amazing. It is basically cupcake frosting in a chocolate shell. And now I am drooling just thinking about it – I could eat it all day every day – yum! The strawberry cream cheese cupcake is also pretty amazing – and my youngest daughter’s favorite dessert in all of Disney World.

The Beast Be Our Guest

The Beast

As you might know, dinner at Be Our Guest is the only place you can meet the Beast. Now, if you call and ask, cast members will tell you that they cannot guarantee the master will request your audience. However, we have been four times and have always met the Beast after dinner. He is amazing to meet! He is super tall – and one of the best meet and greets in the park. The Beast took the time to dance with both of my daughters each time we have gone. One of our favorite memories is when he bent down – way down – so that my daughter (who was 3 at the time) could kiss his nose. It made her entire trip and we will never forget it.

If you go to Be Our Guest for lunch, you will not meet the Beast – however, the food is pretty great as well! It is one of the best – if not the best – quick service lunches at Magic Kingdom, possibly at all of Disney World! This last trip we were sure to have lunch (the carved turkey sandwich is amazing!) and dinner at Be Our Guest during our trip. It is for sure a don’t miss for us!
