You should know that I am a huge gamer. We have the Nintendo Switch, a Playstation 4, an XBOX 360, and even a (few) Nintendo DS in our house. But sometimes I just can’t help but pull out my phone and get some good mobile gaming action in. There are a few games that are basically on my mind constantly right now. If I get a free moment, no matter where I am or what I am doing, I pull out my phone and get to gaming. I have decided I cannot live without them and I need to tell others about how amazing they are – so here we go.
My latest addiction is Pokemon Duel. I went camping recently and didn’t play for a couple of days and had serious withdrawal. As you might know, I am a bit of a Pokemon geek, so this game is right up my alley. Now, it is not like the Pokemon games you may be used to (think Sun and Moon) but it is a lot of fun! This is more of a strategy game and sometimes what you would think is a weaker Pokemon will beat a stronger one. The duels are basically all about luck in this one as you spin a wheel and cannot select what move you wish to use.
About Pokemon Duel
Pokémon Duel is a strategy board game that uses Pokémon figures. Build a deck with your favorite figures and then leap into a League Match! Compete with players from around the world for a chance to enter the top League rankings in League Matches. You’ll fight your rivals in real time! Win duels, get all kinds of cool figures and items, and make your deck stronger!
The rules are simple! The object is to be the first player to get one of your figures to your opponent’s goal. How will you get to the goal? You’ll need to carefully choose your route! In duels, you and your opponent take turns moving your figures. Set up a strategic formation and attack your opponent, or simply block their path—it’s all about tactics! Plan your strategy and defeat your opponents in this game of cat and mouse!
In duels, your deck is composed of 6 Pokémon figures. There are all kinds of figures, each with different moves and abilities. Keep this in mind as you build your own custom deck! Check Pokemon Duel out in the Google Play Store.
Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow
This game just launched last week, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t had time to already be obsessed with it. Futurama has always been one of my favorite shows, so I was really excited about this game. The game plays similar to The Simpsons game, but better (in my opinion). You can explore space with your favorite characters and there is a good amount of fun free game play. However, to really experience the game to it’s fullest, you will need to pay. I haven’t done this yet, but I am really close to doing it. If you have already, let me know if it is worth it!

Plants vs. Zombies Heroes
I am a huge fan of the Plants vs. Zombies series. When I first noticed this game in the Google Play Store, I thought it was going to be like the others. It is rare that I actually read the description before downloading a game (I know) so when I first played Plants. vs. Zombies Heroes I was pleasantly surprised. This game is a blast! I enjoy battling other people as well as working through the “story mode” battles. Both plants and zombies have their perks, but I like using the zombies best. My favorite thing? Tons of fun new characters!
About Plants vs. Zombies Heroes
From the makers of Plants vs. Zombies 2 and Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2 comes the next great game in the epic battle between doom and bloom – Plants vs. Zombies Heroes. Collect Heroes with outrageous and incredible super powers and build your ultimate battle team. Embark on a journey to discover new characters, and confront mighty opponents along the way. And, for the first time ever on mobile, play as either plants or zombies. It’s the lawn of a new battle!
Collect and choose from 20 unique Plant and Zombie Heroes and unlock their lawn-inspiring super powers. Will you pick Plants and deploy the masked, sharp-shooting avenger, Green Shadow? Or will you choose a Zombie Hero and call on the superbly superficial Super Brainz, Zomboss’s secret weapon with a powerful punch and fondness for hair gel? Each Hero’s selection of super powers will help determine your team’s winning strategy.

Every now and then I open up some older games that I don’t play every day. Clash of Clans is one of those games. This is a weird one because I will get on a kick and play it for months – every day. Then one day I don’t. And then the next day, I don’t. Then a couple months later I open it up and am hooked again. This is one of the few games that I have made several in game purchases for (I mean, I needed to grow my army so I needed gems!). It is a lot of fun and just writing this makes me want to open it up right now.
Angry Birds is another fun and mindless game that I can sit and play for hours. I don’t very often, but every now and then I get the itch to play it. We have several different versions of it downloaded on the girls’ tablet, so I sometimes pick that up and play one. Super Mario Run is also a lot of fun and something that my kids enjoy too. We play this one a lot as a family, taking turns, to pass the time. Mobile gaming is a great way to pass the time, and it is something I am really addicted to. I look forward to seeing games that come out in the future!
What is your favorite mobile game and why?
