I love Melissa McCarthy. I think she is one of the funniest comedians out there. The Boss just hit DVD, Blu-Ray, and Digital HD and I was thrilled to be able to sit down and watch it with my husband and my mom. Within 5 minutes we were all dying laughing! There is a teeth whitening scene just a few moments in and it is one of the funniest scenes in a movie I have seen in a while. Melissa is perfect at this role – she knows how to make people laugh. Peter Dinklage and Kristen Bell are great as well. The cast is really on point! I don’t think I have laughed this hard at a movie in a long time.
5 minutes in and I am so glad I am watching @TheBossFilm tonight…@melissamccarthy is hilarious, as always. #TheBoss #LikeABoss

While this movie is hilarious, it has some good takeaways too – such as friendship is important, and think of others before yourself sometimes. Dare I say it, this movie was a little bit heartwarming – and there were points where I had tears in my eyes (not just from laughing so hard). I wouldn’t let me 3 and 5 year old watch it just yet, but when they are a little bit older (think 10 or 12 for the rated version, 15 or 16 for the unrated version), it will be a great movie to watch as a family. The deleted scenes and bonus features are worth checking out too – especially the gag reel. I was in tears watching it! The Boss is available now on Blu-Ray, DVD, & Digital HD – and I recommend you grab your copy now!
About The Boss
Melissa McCarthy stars as Michelle Darnell, a titan of industry who is sent to prison for insider trading. After doing her time, Michelle emerges, ready to rebrand herself as America’s latest sweetheart, but not everyone she steamrolled is so quick to forgive and forget. With nowhere to go and no one to scam, Michelle is forced to move in with former assistant Claire (Kristen Bell – Frozen, “House of Lies”) and her young daughter, Rachel. Now at her lowest point, Michelle wastes no time in devising a winner-take-all plan to rebuild her empire. Can she reclaim her status as the No. 1 screwer, or will the love of one family screw her for good? McCarthy and Bell are joined by an all-star cast including Peter Dinklage (“Game of Thrones”), Kathy Bates (“American Horror Story,” Tammy) and Cecily Strong (“Saturday Night Live”). The Boss also features cameos from some of Groundlings’ favorite graduates including Michael McDonald, Steve Mallory, Ben Falcone, Damon Jones and more!
