THE JUNGLE BOOK

THE JUNGLE BOOK – (Pictured) MOWGLI and KING LOUIE ©2015 Disney Enterprises, Inc. All Rights Reserved.

I was lucky enough to go see the live action version of The Jungle Book before it came out in theaters while I was in LA for the Captain America: Civil War premiere. (You can read my full review here.) Once it was released, I took my (then) 4 year old to go see it on a special mommy/daughter date. She loved it – and I was so pleased. She talked about it for weeks and when the Blu-ray version arrived in the mail this week, she opened up right away and asked if we could watch it. She wanted to show her little sister, who is 3, and to be honest, I was nervous that she might be scared. But she wasn’t at all!

I, personally, was excited to check out the bonus features. I found them all to be very interesting, but if I had to choose a favorite, it would be the King Louie’s Temple: Layer by Layer. This bonus feature shows you how my favorite scene in the movie was created. My oldest daughter enjoyed the bonus footage too – I swear she is going to be an engineer or something, she loves seeing how things are made.
