As most of you know, I am a huge gamer. Ever since I was a little girl and I got my first gaming console, I have been hooked! I don’t discriminate – from board games, to consoles, to mobile – I love all forms of gaming! One of my favorite games to play is Skylanders, so of course when they launched Skylanders® Battlecast in May, I downloaded it right away. Skylanders Battlecast is the latest mobile game in the Skylanders franchise – and it is so much fun! I personally enjoy the single player campaign, but there is an online multiplayer option as well. In this mobile trading card game, you collect both digital and physical Skylanders Battlecast cards to build the ultimate team and bring them to life in epic online battles! Simply scan physical character cards with a mobile device camera to add them to your in-game deck.
I am excited to let you know that in specially marked boxes of General Mills Cereal you can find three free Battlecast cards (including an exclusive character card!!) inside every participating box. Specially marked Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Cookie Crisp, Golden Grahams, Honey Nut Cheerios and Reese’s Puffs include the character cards and are on shelves at major retailers nationwide through September 2016. How exciting is that? I already love General Mills Cereal, but now I have an even bigger reason to pick up some boxes! Fans like me can collect four brand new, exclusive cards – the full set contains ten cards. For a limited time, these exclusive cards cannot be found anywhere else. They feature the characters Sonic Boom, Trigger Happy, Prism Break and Hot Head.
I have been teaching my young girls to be gamers just like their mommy, so of course we have lots of family game nights. But thanks to General Mills Cereal and Skylanders Battlecast, these have turned in to game mornings! We love to play over a big bowl of our favorite cereals now, and it has become kind of a tradition. My daughters get excited to open up the new Skylanders Battlecast cards that come in our boxes and see if they got any new ones. We even used some blank card printouts to create our own Battlecast cards one morning – and they loved it!
