I am a huge gamer – and I love Retro games. We have an NES and a SNES and we love to play them. Sometimes on weekends, while the girls are napping, my husband and I will have marathon Super Mario Brothers, Ninja Turtles, or even Duck Hunt sessions. I love the new games, don’t get me wrong, but there is nothing like the oldies. Before we had kids, we would sit and play all weekend sometimes. So when I discovered My Retro Game Box on Instagram – well, I got very excited.
My Retro Game Box is a subscription box that shows up at your door with retro games. They are a surprise, which is what I love about subscription boxes! When you sign-up for the service, you fill out a form detailing what systems and games you already own – so you will not get any doubles. I opened up my box to find the Addams Family for SNES (which I have played a bunch of times already) and a Game Boy Color with a Tetris game! Woohoo!! I was so excited, just watch the #unboxing video below to see.
My husband came home from work about 10 minutes after I opened my box and stole my Game Boy Color! I didn’t even get to play before he claimed the high score on Tetris with 110 lines – grrr! I have loved playing with my new games. This subscription box is great for any old school gamer! Just head on over to MyRetroGameBox.com to subscribe – they ship all over the world!
Over the next month, My Retro Game Box will be adding additional features to their service – such as special discounts from other businesses in the retro gaming industry. They will also be launching a console shop and every subscriber will be entitled to a discount, which will increase based on your plan. (Month to month – 15%, 3 month prepay – 30%, 6 month prepay – 45%, 12 month prepay – 60%)
**Giveaway Alert**

We have a gamecube and original xbox. While not traditionally considered retro I think it's safe to say they kind of are now.

I have the first Gameboy--no color and the paper boy game. I think my son, age 6, would love the color version much better.
